Camera was a Crown Graphic (4x5) with a 6x17 roll film back attached, hence the wide aspect.

Yes. That's what I figure the issue that caused the lights is. Though, my follow up question is, is the sensor still defective? And if YES, what drawbacks would I have driving with a defective sensor without the lights coming on?

I've been really happy with a pair of Rigid 360 series 6" lights (Spot) mounted on the A-Pillar. Pricey, but phenomenally bright, and a very long throw (Rigid rates them at 8670 lumens).

Used KC HiLites mounting brackets to put Rigid 360 series 6" Spots on the A-Pillar.
Wired up the lights with the manufacturers wiring harness, but added 2 guarded blue LED switches below the light control panel.

I wouldn't worry too much. I was quoted "about 2 months" by my dealer and it was pretty accurate. I ordered mid November 2020, and mine arrived mid January 2021. The longest delay was the train shipment to Canada (I believe my jeep built the week of Dec. 16th)
