I was at the dealer today for an inspection. Asked again about the recent repair. Actually he (new guy) meant to a timing chain chain tensioner instead of tensioner rod.
Thanks for the response. the rattling only occurs occasionally at idle. They dealer called me this afternoon and said they had a jeep engineer involved and the narrowed it down to a tensioner rod. I 'll pass on the info you just shared with me.
Thanks.
I have been experiencing a loud rattling noise. Comes and goes. Dealer has dismantle the exhaust system as well as a few other components. Now they are dismantling the top end of the engine. Going on 2 weeks at the dealer on this third visit. Dealer reports that this problem has been reported...
Has anything resolution come about for this issue. My 4XE just started doing this the past 2 weeks. At the dealer now. Have about 8K miles on the jeep.
A message indicating that the all "electric mode is temporarily unavailable" while having 40% capacity available has occurred frequently while driving. Also, large center screen has gone 1/3 black while driving.
Took the jeep to dealer for the second time (today) to trouble shoot.
Has anyone...
If you are a good enough wheeler to be effected by the extra battery weight, you are in a class that represents less than 1% population of Wrangler owners. If this is the case, the extra weight is a valid point. With that being said, I would gamble to say that my Stock 4XE can do anything a non...
I don't see how any upgrades would be available in the near future. Too soon in my opinion. I'm sure Jeep won't have any issue selling the current configuration for a year or two or until a true Wrangle EV hits the market.
As far as your comment on the "21 miles", this model was never designed...
We live in the world of many haters and bashers. If you don't actually own or have driven a particular vehicle over a good period of time....I will not have much respect for your opinion. Having a Jeep Wrangler, other than a 4XE, does not make you a qualified critic on the 4XE. Most reviews do...
So with all these stories about Vroom and Carvana offering equal or more than MSRP on used Wranglers, I'm wondering how much they are upcharging on their future sale of the vehicles. Then most here on the forum are claiming they are getting a discount off of new Wranglers from Jeep dealerships...
There's a lot of great articles you can view to find a logical answer. It wasn''t designed to give you more the 22 miles on all electric. Its claim to fame is a hell of a hybrid design. Quick, fast and strong, not your usual hybrid (it's a jeep).
I noticed this as well. I never give much credence in an negative opinion from someone that doesn't actually own or have experience with what they are critiquing.
I changed out the OEM bumpers on two previous jeeps. This time around I'm pretty much keeping the Rubicon stock so the Steel Bumper Group was a great option to upgrade the bumper from the factory.
It seems like a lot of post like this are written in a manner to start a divide amongst members. Too many of them but drama seems to be entraining for those who like asking stupid questions.
