It's VERY frustrated. Totally understand. The first time they switched out the steering dampener which did not fix it. I have taken my jeep into 3 dealerships with the same power steering complaint and now the 6th time it's been taken in they are replacing the power steering pump. We will see if...
When my power steering goes out it's over 30mph and will stay off until i go below 30mph. Very dangerous and frustrating. Taken it to 2 dealerships 4 times and taking it again tomorrow and @JeepCares will not authorize a rental car.
Frustrating part about mine is it'll go out and come back on so by the time i could get it to the dealership it could be back on. And @JeepCares will NOT authorize a rental car in the meantime. Super helpful. So, I'm without a car and they still won't authorize a steering fix.
I sent a message on Saturday. I just sent another one just now. Please authorize the dealership to repair the steering. I don't want to have to try to get this Jeep Lemon Law either.
I've had to take my jeep in over 4 times as well for steering and Jeep has yet to solve the problem of the power steering going out and then randomly coming back on. Very dangerous. Could you please share the number or email you called? I'm over @JeepCares not helping at all.
That's crazy. The frustrating part is it keeps going in and out. So it won't happen for days then it'll randomly happen. So I could take it in and they still won't do anything unless they can replicate it. Super frustrating.
My 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler power steering goes out intermittently when going over 30mph and will come back on usually when it goes under 30 mph. I've taken it to two different dealerships and have a case manager with @JeepCares but they can't replicate it and no one is fixing anything besides...
I have the same issue of the steering locking up at higher speeds (over 30mph going out and usually coming back on under 30mph) and i've taken it to 2 dealerships without either being able to fix it. It's very dangerous and Jeep seems to not want to help in fixing the issue.
I've luckily been able to avoid accidents when the steering goes in/out because i have learned when it usually goes in and out and don't make any turns, but I really worry about having to turn quickly when it goes out or comes back in. This is a major safety issue that jeep seems to either 1...
I'll d
I'll definitely fill out the NHSTA form as this is insane that it's not a recall. How many people have to get into accidents for them to fix this?
Have the same issue and the dealership is not doing anything since they can't replicate it. The next time it happens could be my last time driving as it could cause an accident. @JeepCares has not helped through this whole process. VERY FRUSTRATING.
I don't know what else to do. I love my jeep but not after this whole experience. Truly amazing that the dealership released my jeep after not doing anything and the steering went out again and no one is making any moves to have it fixed...Very disappointed right now with Jeep's customer service...
I'm in the same boat as you. They can't replicate it and won't fix the steering issue. Two dealerships and a @JeepCares case manager that won't get in touch with me and still have the issue.
I have the exact same issue with my power steering going out. I have taken it to two different dealerships and have had a case with @JeepCares without success. Please help me get the new steering box authorized. This is a death trap without it.
