  1. Death Wobble - Brand new 2022 Sahara @ 500 miles

I went through this on my stock Sahara 4xe. If you want it to work and otherwise like the vehicle, you're probably going to want to buy a Synergy track bar and replace the stock one. After replacing the steering stabilizer and two of the shocks, neither of which fixed the issue, the dealer techs...
  2. Death wobble wrangler 4Xe 12,500 miles

They're going to want to replace the steering stabilizer, which probably won't fix it. If you want to save time just get the Synergy track bar and be done with it. They won't replace the track bar with an after market one under warranty but it only costs a few hundred bucks. It's possible...
  3. Death wobble wrangler 4Xe 12,500 miles

We finally have the 4xe back. It was in the shop from 1/7-2/22 waiting for parts. Here is what the paperwork states was done: "Inspected and found RF and LR shocks leaking. Noted steering stabilizer needed bench bleeding [Author's note: the steering stabilizer had been replaced already on the...
  4. Death wobble wrangler 4Xe 12,500 miles

Unfortunately, the update is that there is no update. My 4xe has been in the shop since January 7 waiting for those shocks to come in... This is becoming quite the frustrating experience because I'm expecting the wobble to remain even after this long wait because I can't imagine why replacing...
  5. Death wobble wrangler 4Xe 12,500 miles

I don't have any additional information about why they messed with the brakes or why they chose to address the shocks. I did ask about the track bar since several people have suggested that is often the real issue but, like I said, they reported seeing no issues with it. I AM skeptical about...
  6. Death wobble wrangler 4Xe 12,500 miles

Update: Technician reported that he found nothing wrong with the track bar or its connections. They are replacing left rear and right front shocks (on order until at least next week apparently) and bled the brakes.
  7. Death wobble wrangler 4Xe 12,500 miles

Nevermind. It's definitely NOT fixed. Jeep is back at the shop today. What a pain.
  8. Death wobble wrangler 4Xe 12,500 miles

Tech inspected & reported "steering stabilizer internal resistance is non-existent" so they replaced that and sent me on my way. I spoke with the service manager and he seemed to be familiar with this issue, claiming that "99% of the time" the issue is the stabilizer. We'll see... My initial...
  9. Death wobble wrangler 4Xe 12,500 miles

It's not just yours. This started on mine about a month ago, with less than 5k miles on it. I just experienced my 2nd longer wobble (10 seconds+) a couple days ago and am planning to bring it in soon.
  10. Shuddering/Vibration at highway speed

Thanks. I was literally just reading about that from some other posters and many of their descriptions are exactly what I've experienced. Sounds like it can be frustrating to get isolated and repaired, though.... Ugh.
  11. Shuddering/Vibration at highway speed

Not a bad idea. But wouldn't that cause a consistent issue, rather than an occasional one that only happens when I hit a bump at speed?
  12. Shuddering/Vibration at highway speed

I have a 2021 Wrangler 4xe Sahara with zero mods and ~5500 miles. It may be a coincidence, but the following started happening immediately after I had the Jeep in for software updates a couple months ago. But I had also placed the transfer case in 4A around the same time in anticipation of the...
  13. Skyone Touch

I get the brushing part. I only use touchless washes when I go to them (usually in winter). But I'm skeptical of the 'harsh chemicals' concern. I've owned multiple vehicles with soft tops over the years and taken them through a car wash many times. I've never observed any issues with any of...
  14. Skyone Touch

I've only taken mine though the wash once but it was fine. Here's the thing. Would you feel comfortable driving in a rain storm? If yes, why would trips through the car wash be any different? Just a thought. Sometimes, as consumers that like to research every detail, we tend to overthink some...
  15. Wheels click on sharp/slow turns

Brought my 4xe in today to get this addressed. I'd been hearing clicking coming from the driver front wheel well at slow speed any time the window was down (or door off) and the wheel turned. It was annoying. I'm surprised JLs have been doing this for 4 model years now... The tech said it...
  16. Electric mode temporarily unavailable.

I got the electric mode temporarily unavailable alert yesterday on my stock Sahara 4xe. It was raining, there was about 10% battery remaining, and was accelerating away from a stoplight at ~30 mph. It booted me into hybrid mode and started the engine. I put it back into electric only after...
  17. 4xE Order Status??

Same. I visited Van Horn, Kolosso, and Bergstrom also. John Sherman at Gandrud got me the best price & was a pleasure to work with while doing so =)
  18. 4xE Order Status??

Just arrived in Green Bay, WI! I'm liking that interior with the Sarge Green paint even more than I thought I would =) (haven't taken delivery so I can't comment on the ownership experience yet)
  19. Rubicon vs Sahara help me decide

Sounds like Sahara is gonna do the job for ya. You're gonna do a lift with bigger tires anyway, so that built in advantage of the Rubicon is somewhat diminished. If you like the thought of sitting in those saddle brown seats, then go for it. You're going to spend a lot of time inside the...
  20. 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Range / Mileage EPA Figures Published

This is not true. If your tax liability is over $7500, then you get the full benefit. If you only owe $4000 in federal tax, then the benefit of the credit is $4000. If you owe nothing, the credit does nothing.
