I’ve had a Mopar screen protector since day one without a single problem. It’s been four years to date. I’ve seen screens without protectors that have been damaged from dirty fingers, especially during the height of Covid when everyone was using hand sanitizers. YMMV
Yes, 2” will allow 35’s. You just have to decide which kit. Lots of info and opinions on this site about that. If you’re worried about warranty stuff, then the Mopar will be fine. Also depends on how and where you drive and wheel.

1) No. Mine are the same height so I used a couple 2x8's under them to raise them 3 inches.
2) Placed mine on the frame behind the front LCA's and in front of the rear LCA's.
Can anyone verify that this update... UCONNECT_UAQ_8.4_QR39.6_MY18-21_JL_JT... does fix the Favorites dissappearing issue? I manually updated my radio to USA-ASO-8.4-QR-39.6.0-20210405-Q0H4 with the map update and my Favorites is still broke. It worked for about a week then the Favorites started...
I've been using this for the past two years. I use it at least once a month. Expensive, but IMO worth it. They also have a spray that is cheaper. My steering wheel still looks new even though COVID.
This is absolutely true about Rugged. They are way over priced Baofeng radios. They're marketing may lead you to think they are great radios, but they're no better. They come pre-programmed is all.
I have a ham radio in my rig as well, so I don't need a more powerful GMRS. At anytime of the day, you will always find someone monitoring a ham versus a GMRS in a time of need.
I wheel all the time with a group and use the 275 with a Midland MXTA26 antenna. Even less power than the 400, and I have no problems with communication. I completely agree with your Air Force buddy. Now if you want to reach distant repeaters, more power is better. But having a properly tuned...
