I upgraded my exhaust with the Magnaflow 19620 Overland axle back. Other than dropping my ratchet on my face during the process it went well for 85K miles on the stock unit. Penetrating catalyst on the muffler joint helped but still took a bit of work to remove. I chose this unit because I...
I Live in Florida and it's not worth the potential water intrusion for me to modify the vents to be "functional". To remove the cowl you'll need to unbolt the wipers and then using a trim tool the cowl will just pop out. I think I had to use a gear puller to remove the wipers the first time...
This last weekend I got tired of looking at my faded hood vents. I popped them out, cleaned them, gave them a red scotch roughing, and then sprayed them with some trim and bumper paint. I did the same thing to the wiper cowl about a year ago. It still looks great. The faded plastic really...
Despite the comments above there are things that you can do but they may not always net a comfy ride. On top of that the 2 door's shorter wheel base makes it even more difficult.
Lower your tire pressure
softer shocks (I like the fox 2.0 as a simple solution)
Mopar longer Lower control arms...
My radiator decided to leave the chat via cracked endcaps. It over heated when I pulled off the highway to get gas at Costco. It cooled down quickly and I was able to limp it to the dealer.
No, at 80K miles on my '18 2.0 Rubicon there was no warranty.
So why the dealer? The 2.0 with...
I just put about 2000 miles on them and so far they are great for on road and highway use. I have not been able to get dirty in a while so I don't have any input regarding that. The price difference for 315/70/17 at discount Tire was $109 each ($545 savings on all 5 before taxes and certificates).
I recently installed the all steel version of Rusty's steering kit. I noticed that my passenger's side tie rod end started to flash rust within a day of installing it. All the others are good. Keep an eye on it. I think it is just the coating on the one end.
NEW TIRE DAY!
I also jumped on the Goodyear Territory MT train. A couple of reasons, weight and cost. these are 10 pounds lighter and over $100 cheaper each than the same size KO2(s) they are replacing. I just got a new job where I'll be commuting a lot more and the weight was a big factor...
With 77K miles on my 18 Rubicon it was time to replace some steering components with upgraded parts. Went with @TeraFlex Ball joints and Rusty's Offroad tie rod and drag link. Got rid of almost all of the vibration at 70mph (I'm sure the tires are the cause of what's left). I did need to add...
it's through the passenger fender liner but you have to remove that engine mount to get it out. Not the hardest job. Just one I opted to pay someone else to do for me
no, and that is why I ended up taking to it to the dealer. I honestly thought it was a software issue. There was no grinding or noise at all prior to it just not working.
2018 2.0 with Etorque 68000 miles
I had a no crank/start condition last weekend. Tested the battery (optima yellow top) and it was all good. Proceeded to check every relevant fuse and relay. I even swapped identical relays between spots to see if any were bad. No CELs and no warnings from...
I got a brand new in the box Premium Mopar soft top from someone local that had traded off their jeep for ONLY $500. I thought I'd always just have a hard top but this was too good a deal and man, I should have done this a long time ago!
The benefit to these is that they are compact and light weight. They are also fairly inexpensive compared to almost all other jack options. I have the Mopar one just in case. I carry that and a battery powered impact (with the proper socket for my spline lug nuts) not just offroad but for...
I went with the K02 in 315/70/17 c rating because weight and cost. It's only 4 pounds more per tire for the 12.5 wide 35 but rotation mass matters. I also have Rubicon so gearing isn't as much a concern with the weight and size of this tire. On your sport it will be more noticeable.
