When I go to a high crime area or when I leave my vehicle at a trailhead I take my old truck. I don't leave anything inside worth stealing and I don't want to pay for a broken window. I do not lock the doors... true. You don't have windows so you are fine... j/k. : )
I'm a seasoned shooter and I think the center console is a good choice for you, IMHO. It's a location where you can keep your head up and eyes open as you access it.
BTW:
Always treat the gun as loaded.
Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
Keep your finger off the trigger until...
Driving: you need a sedan #1, you need a truck #2, you need a Jeep#3. Fishing: you need a setup for bass, steelhead, salmon, crappie, deep sea bottom fish, tuna etc. Driving: #4 motorcycle, #5 ATV trailer, #6 motorhome etc ......... it's like that. You do need a truck for getting tasks done...
I dug two vehicles out with this last week. The fact that it is small and pointed made it work well for me. I could really get in that tight crevice where the rubber hits the road. It also works well with your body mechanics. You can push/pull in your power zone right near your chest. You do...
I'm a wearer of shorts in the Winter guy. I don't get cold often. I sweat profusely when it gets hot, which I enjoy with great pleasure. I'm not fat. I just don't feel bothered much by temps outside. I perspire in the most drenching way with great pleasure and abandon. My wife is a WHOLE other...

I use to have many firearm picks and videos but it was driving my wife nuts so I purged them all. I'm just starting with Jeeps. So there will be more of that on there plus family, stuff, gardening and I just may sneak in some range time videos etc. at some point.
My agency teaches us that all drivers should be considered to be idiots.
Do not flash them or they might become more mentally deficient and incapacitated, IMHO.
Today I installed front and rear dash cameras. Here is a video of the rear video. It's to big for here:
So I'm making trails at my property and get this deep sound when I spin a back tire. The sound on video is very exaggerated I'm new at Jeeps. I guess it's my LSD clutch?
Here's the...
I like your jeep. Nice. I grew up in Lakewood on Steilacoom lake , my wife grew up on 38th and Tacoma Ave. I've changed a lot of stuff already in a short time on my Willys. I can't decide if I should get a new steel back bumper or dual exhaust next. Just pick one for me. I'm just being fun. Pick...
I'm curious what you have to fight off in your garden.
That's really good... "It depends who you travel with."
I would be set up totally perfectly fine with Uhdinator' s setup above.
My wife, not so much, Uhdinator. I just hope that everyone takes kids. They don't care so much and can really...
That's not nice. : ( Maybe it's to be polite at stoplights. Nobody likes others' "delusion of grandeur" LOUD music at stoplights. I don't care though, play it LOUD. Blocking sound for me in an internal mind modification. I've been married for over 30 years. I can block most anything.
I would like to know as well. I don't even understand the concept of sleeping up there, lol. Why? Spiders? Bears? What if you want to drive somewhere all of a sudden? Is this a "safe place" thing? It's so silly in my mind at this point as I don't understand others frame of mind. With all due...
I like feeling like I'm in control of a vehicle and that I'm not just along for the ride. We are entering the era of the driverless car brain dead driver vs the diehard situational awareness driver.
So I have had my 2021 Willys for a couple of weeks or so. I finally got to run over some logs, through mud, up some hills and I zig zagged through the woods on a stormy day. That 2 door makes nice tight turns. Life is good, even on the shortest day of the year in the middle of a storm. : )
There is plenty of room with the back seat out of the 2 door JL for your needs. You might like this product, BTW.

I'm not sure but the lower center of gravity of a sedan must play a part. If true, add a Subaru's boxer engine with it's lower center of gravity, AWD and you just are more connected to the road, I guess?
