  1. Has anyone run without doors on Fraser Island?

In Oz, the view seems to be that it is probably not legal, but this is untested in the courts. Here is an interesting article: Is it legal to drive a car without doors? Watch the video - Drive In relation to if the police decide to issue you with a defect notice, then it probably depends on...
  2. Batteries replacement made easy on RHD

Thank you to the OP. I replaced my failing aux battery with the Century/Katana Powersports Small Engine Battery YTX14-BS FA (200CCA 12AH) following the OPs advice. The dealer replaced my main battery under warranty but didn't have / would not cover the aux battery. I was very careful to...
  3. What's eating my Jeep?

Looking under the bonnet it is clear something has been gnawing on the rubber trim pieces - presumably while sitting under the bonnet on the windscreen cowl. I would much prefer it to nibble on this than my wiring harness, but any suggestions on how prevent the rodent from getting there in the...
  4. Auto Levelling Headlamps??

My AU spec petrol Rubi has this sensor too. I was wondering what it was for, so thanks for posting.
  5. Price Increase

Your dealer really should have told you about this earlier in the year if they could not source you a MY21 model. I did recall seeing an article on price rises, so searched back and found this... Jeep increases prices on Wrangler and Gladiator by up to $7000 - Drive There were earlier price...
  6. Flapping Sound From Front Passenger Side (AUS)

How many km have you done? And did you rotate the tyres yourself? The front passenger side appears to get the most wear...
  7. Paint bubbling around the door hinges - well documented in the US but has anyone experienced this in Australia?

Did they do all 8 hinges or just the 5 that had obvious issues? Was it out-sourced to a panel beater with experience in aluminium repairs? Or did you drop your Jeep off at the dealership and Jeep organised everything?
  8. Flapping Sound From Front Passenger Side (AUS)

It was up the front, and I made a hole to get it to stay in place. If it is a patchwork of duct tape then it might be too far gone!
  9. Flapping Sound From Front Passenger Side (AUS)

I've had my wheel arch liner replaced under warranty for the same reason. It was flapping at speeds above 50km/h and then rubbing on the tyre. Mine lost the little xmas tree holder at the front, so I zip tied it back until the new part came in.
  10. Why does this hang low?

Just to close this out, I tucked the nut-plate up out the way and then retorqued to nut.
  11. Australian Interstate... How "legal" is it to travel with my car?

How do you think would you go with Mopar steel stubby bumper bar in QLD? Would this be considered unsafe for some reason?
  12. ESS Dual Battery Management

Nice. Do you get a warning on the dash that the ESS battery is 'disconnected'? Could you post some pictures when you mount this in your vehicle? What Amp isolator switch are you using? 100 Amp? I was thinking I could do this with a bluetooth battery monitor on the auxiliary battery to monitor...
  13. That Melbourne game....

That Jeep team has a tiger in their tank! Go Jeep!
  14. Why does this hang low?

This does appear to be a right hand drive 'feature '. If I rotate the flag up out the way then it will not hold the bolt against the flange. I think trimming it so it still holds against the flange will be better than having it fold up out on a trail somewhere.
  15. Why does this hang low?

Thanks. Any idea where I can find the torque specifications for this ? (And other parts as I'm sure it will be useful later on)?
  16. Why does this hang low?

Hi I've got myself a JLU Rubicon MY2020. While looking it over, I was surprised that there was a small metal tab hanging down from what I think is the steering stabliser. It looks like it holds a captive nut in place. I checked another JLU Rubicon on the dealers lot and it had the same metal...
