Most mornings is just a little noisy. But every few starts it sounds like a timing chain slapping the case. As a mechanic I have a theory that it's when the engine stops in it's unusual spot. Maybe the tensioner slacking off and on the next start it takes 30-40 second for it to pump back up?
Yeah, more power on them helps but you really can't expect much more from a 4 " factory woofer trying to cover such a broad spectrum from a vented box aimed at your knee
Well, between wiring and components if you are talking about a JL ide say an amp, the converter and a sub is probably going to put you well over $500. Especially if you are considering paying a shop to install. I had tapped into my rear channels on the sound bar and just used the high level...
Well, if you want to narrow it down you need to know if you have a low voltage situation. If you maintain voltage to the amp and it cuts out it would rule out the main power and ground. If get close to the volume your are looking for and it starts dropping below whatever you see at the battery...
I am running a rockford dsr1 into an amp running the factory speakers. I am sure I am overpowering them but they are holding up so far and decent quality sound
If you don't use a channel i doubt it will transfer to another channel. Also I believe the factory amps are rated near 2 ohm so you will probably lose some wattage with aftermarket stuff. Probably best to write off the factory amp and get a good aftermarket amp to replace it. My JL didn't have a...
If you have an amplifier the wires to each individual speaker come straight from the amp. They aren't split. The wiring diagram in the manual shows the knee speakers as woofers and the top dash
are separate. Same with the sound bar
It has so much adjustment that it's kinda difficult to set but I really like mine too. I am glad to hear you got it working! I've probably spent 5 hours with my tablet in the Walmart parking lot tuning it but it gets down pretty good and so far I haven't taken out any of the factory speakers but...
I didn't know that. I thought I was doing a Chrysler/ u connect procedure. That was a $300 lesson for me cause I ended up with a spare DSR. Thank you guys for this forum!
Yeah, you could see if the sound moves
You know I had to program my radio for amp mode before mine worked. I ended up buying a second one because I thought I might have smoked the first. Somebody posted about a procedure to program the output of the radio. Wonder if you have an issue with that...
I think you have a software kinda problem but I don't know how that pac works. I did some research before I pulled the trigger but I never got to see exactly how that one manipulates the factory wiring. The fact that you have just the one playing makes me guess the pac is sending the radio a...
No. Mine is the 7 inch with no factory amp. I did have to put my radio in "amp mode" to get my dsr to work.i would think your setup will bypass your factory amp. Not sure how that wire harness accomplishes that? But if you get sound of of just driver front I think that radio thinks you are on...
I wish I had some experience with those to share but I bought the rockford. I know that Doug likes those because he was trying to talk me into it while I was out there. Maybe he or Sting have some insight. Sorry you are having a hard time of it
