Hi all -
My 2021 lease is up in May, but like some others, I absolutely hate what Jeep has done with the trim limitations and the color, stiching, accent color combinations for the '24 models. IMHO, they look like a child slapped them together.
I am coming from a stealth looking Granite...
Yes, the red stitching is the same, I was referring to the instrument cluster display/dials. They are no longer using the preferred and color matched red cluster displays in the Rubicon as of the '23 ML - they are using the same orange ones used in every other (non 4xe) Wrangler.
Jeep's...
I just looked at the photos in that link, and the '24 Rubicon cluster is definitely orange:
Just did a quick forum search and it looks like this change was actually made on the '23 model year:

I was looking at the Willys, but there is no option for power leather seats (really want those), and I personally prefer the look of painted flares and Power OneTouch top. I was also all set to get Sting Gray Sahara Altitude - but Jeep decided to kill one of their most popular colors. However...
Yeah, true, it is very early in the MY, so I am hoping more trims are added, especially a proper blacked-out Altitude trim for the Sahara.
I can see the Altitude, Rubicon and 392 with specific color accents (black/red/bronze) as these are inherent to their specific trims, but the 4xe line...
Have they gotten rid of the red accented instrument cluster in the Rubicon models and are now going with orange like with the other trims? This is what it looks like in the BTO configurator.
Not sure who is making these decisions, but there is a lot of clashing going on with these design...
Great write up.
Really like the new grill, power seats option, the newly extended and soft touch/textured trim below the new nav head unit, the updated more modern looking cluster trim, and the updated turbo definitely sounds interesting. But damn, I hate most of the other changes and overall...
Anyone else having rattling issues with the overhead speakers on their JLU with bass heavy music? I have the upgraded Alpine sound system and for a stock system, I am very happy with the sound and power that it puts out. I don't have the bass amp'd all the way up (it's a bit below midway) and I...
I hate this new integrated antenna. Why did they go with this design? It seems so random and it's a bit of an eyesore to my eyes. Odd asymmetrical placement too.
I love my 13" nubby replacement antenna on my '21 Sahara Altitude. It goes well with the chunky Wrangler aesthetic, lends to the...
The new touchscreen display looks very nice and sleek, but the updated upper portion of the dashboard makes the lower portion and controls look dated and mismatched. The current touchscreen display is chunky and goes with the similar aesthetic of the rugged controls underneath it. Not anymore...
Hi all -
I was wondering if anyone knew of rubber (or any kind of) bumper pads or covers that can be placed on the areas of the Sahara JL plastic bumper as shown below?
I searched high and low thinking I'd find some kind of adhesive pads or covers to stick on these bumper protrusions, but...
As a first time Jeep buyer ('21 Sahara Altitude currently on order), I was in the market for a cool, kind of retro looking and boxy SUV that leaned towards the truck side, even though I am not an off-roader. It's all about the aesthetic and fun to drive aspect for me (and the open air power...
This is great to hear.
I am new to Jeep and all that surrounds, so as I wait for mine to arrive, I was looking into the CARPLAY2air USB adapter. I figured I'd just throw it in the center console as a set it and forget it wireless option. So when I read that statement from @JeepCares saying that...
That's great news, and I hope this is the case in mine when it arrives, but this is in contrast to what @JeepCares stated in this thread:
https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/uconnect®-abolute-pos-stay-away-from-it.69271/page-9#post-1472901
I really hate wires seen from the front too, but apparently the latest UConnect update narrows the available USB ports down to just the one in the dashboard - killing the one in the center console as well as the rear ports. Why Apple and/or Jeep would do this, is beyond me.
My plan (for my...
Cool, thank you.
I have a '21 Sahara Altitude on order (first Jeep) and will have a 75 mile drive home from the dealership (all highway), so I wanted to adjust the pressure right there without triggering the TPM.
It sounds like lowering the pressure to around 35 PSI is the sweet spot for most...
Can you please elaborate on this? Why would Apple (or Jeep) want to reduce the amount of USB ports that can be used? The one in the console is ideal as it is out of the way, especially if using a bluetooth adapter to connect wirelessly to CarPlay. So the only USB port we can use is in the dash?
