Not yet, it's only at $25k miles but I want to be prepared with tools and information long before I actually need to be perform the repair.
Is this in addition to the parking brake? I've read mention of the electronic emergency brake needing to be disengaged through the cars software, although...
I am new to being my own mechanic as I never did anything until this Jeep. So far it's just oil changes and tire rotations. Now I'm trying to learn how to replace brake pads and rotors. Quadratec has a great video on this as well as others on YouTube. My main question is about the emergency...
Pair of Rubicon Rock Rails from my 2021 JLUR. Only driven 10k miles and no off-road use. Like new condition. Took off to upgrade to LOD Destroyer rails/steps. Comes with all hardware.
Asking $250 or best offer. Local pickup only.
Finally got mine installed. I had to tap the middle and rear threads on the driver side. I still need to drill the optional holes but that will have to wait. Does anyone have advice on drilling that hole? I assume I'll need a stronger drill bit and a lot of lubricant. Is WD40 good for this...
They should be, but aren't. That was the first thing I tried but didn't fit. Same as all the other bolts, go on for about two or three full turns and stop.
Is it possible if I used the wrong size bolt initially and put too much force in trying to make it fit that I damaged the theading and now...
Those are the same bolts I got. M12 1.5 x 45 mm for the existing holes with shorter self tapping roller bolts for optional drilled holes. I'm definitely using the right ones but they don't fit.
Do you have the old ones? The new version has the mounts separate from the sloders. Either way, both versions bolt on the frame the same way. I need to know what size bolt will fit the center and rear mounts.
I just received these from Quadratech and they are the updated bolt-on design. Looks really great and solid. Tried to put them on today and passenger side was easy because it reuses the bolts already on the frame. On the driver side the center and rear mounts have bolts that LoD provides but...
Just took mine in to the dealer for first tire rotation with the Jeep Wave and asked for 5 tire rotation. Lady said it's $15 for the fifth because FCA only reimburses $10 for the rotation in this program. I laugh and say that's ridiculous. She laughs and agrees but it's not worth arguing about...
That looks really nice. Having a hard top looks much easier to make the back a simple straight cut instead of the soft top which requires a bunch of angles due to how the back connects. Love the raptor liner too along with the hooks. I may add that to have something to latch the carabiners too.
As others have said, no, the top needs to be tied. I use a bungee cord with carabiner hooks to simply wrap up the top which keeps it in place. I took the Jeep down to the beach this weekend and on the highway at 75 mph the top stayed down. I did hit one serious bump on a local road and the top...
I made a cargo cover instead of buying one off the many sites that sell them. Even the inexpensive ones were at least $300 but most seemed to be between $500-$800. Although they looked extremely nice they were much more than I wanted to spend.
It's 1/2 inch plywood split into two sections...
I'm interested in camping at Jericho with a friend and doing the trails but neither of us has a winch and we're beginner offroaders. I have stock '21 JLUR and he has stock JKU Sahara.
Would the green trails be easy enough for us?
I've seen a postal carrier in VT with a JK but not sure it was with the right handed steering. You're probably right that the options are extremely limited as postal carriers are their main target.
Jeep is selling the right sided steering wheel Wrangler again. Damn, I absolutely would have ordered this if I hadn't already taken delivery last fall. Left handed manual would have been quite the learning curve!

Purchased 2021 JLUR 7 months and 7k miles ago. I just realized that when I press the up arrow on the steering wheel the menu number decreases (i.e. 2 down to 1). The opposite happens when pressing down arrow (i.e. 2 goes up to 3). Is this normal? I never really noticed the menu numbers until now.
Based on the few responses I seem to be average. Over the winter I did a lot of long trips up to the mountains and my average was around 18, meaning my highway average must have been higher. The past 2 months is all neighborhood driving and my average shows.
I love my manual. Revs like crazy...
I have been driving my stock '21 JLUR for about 7 months and 7,000 miles and my average MPG is 15.8. This will fluctuate between 15.8 and 17 depending on how much City or highway driving at any given time. This is my first manual transmission. Sticker says I should be getting 19 average...
I certainly understand getting what you pay for. I'm pretty new to Jeep mods and didn't know anything about this brand. I'll probably consider just saving a little more for the Outback.
I am looking at options and the Rough Country is only $80 and the others range from $160-$500. For the price you can't beat $80. Are the others better? I like the Outback with the cutting board but at $360 that seems way too much.
