Ok.
I have a 2020JL with the large screen and all the safety packages. The dual battery setup. Auto Start/Stop (ASS)
I drive the JL a fair amount. Maybe not every day but almost. Since day 1 Auto Start/Stop just always works. I once didn't drive for 4 weeks (vacation/quarantine) and after a 90...
This thread won't add anything new - and I've seen the post in how to diagnose the issue systematically.
However, in my nearly 1 year on this forum, it's the people who have constantly posted about their experiences with DW that I do credit for me making it home safely the other day. I never...
I sent this message to my girlfriend yesterday:
--------
Me: Hey! I got it!
Her: OMG! You Got Your Vaccination Date!
Me: No, That's When My Jeep Rolled Off The Assembly Line!
Her:
Well, I'm still waiting :CWL:
Took my jeep in this morning to have the caster fixed.
Tonight I realized my dash-cam was not working - no lights on it. I checked it and realized the power cable and the rear camera cable were unplugged from the unit up on the window.
I plugged it in and looked at the footage.
While I was in...
As shown, my UCONNECT software is the Canadian variant, however in Travellink There are no options fo Canadian cities for weather or traffic etc...
Am I missing something?
What does LO in the upper left/right hand corner on my Uconnect 8.4 mean?
Today was the first time I've ever had it appear. Usually it shows the temp I have the cabin set to in the top corners.
Today, it said LO on both sides
Climate is set to Auto - and this LO is not mentioned in the manual...
I wasn't sure where to put this...
I see so many posts about dealers putting too much oil into Jeeps when the oil is changed...
So has anyone here ever had too much oil in their Jeep, and it caused a problem?
Does anyone have a simple way to tighten the volume and the track/menu knobs?
It's really tough to just turn the knobs a little in certain situations.
Is there an easy way to tighten the knobs - give them more resistance so it's harder to turn them?
I was loosening a sway bar bolt to install a muffler skid plate. Halfway undone it just started spinning.
I thought it would be a nut on the other side - but it's this smooth, circular ... thing... and now it just spins and I cannot tighten or loosen the bolt.
Can I drive ok until I can get...
I have my JL Sahara lifted 3.5".
But I am curious - some of the forest roads I was on yesterday had puddles like I've never seen in my life - the water was up almost to about the bottom of the Jeep.
Every weekend I'm encountering situation like this with rivers overflowing onto forest roads...
I'm only asking becasue the number of times the centre of the underside of my Jeep has been scraping over obstacles continues to climb
I use the remote start feature in my Jeep. As the temps are near freezing now I can see the exhaust better. As I approached my warming up jeep this...
Heads up - I won't be installing this for a few weeks... But just couldn't wait to start the thread lol
WHY DID I GET THIS - On my very first off-road adventure in my Jeep, I was way up out of reception range on a FSR barreling along... Now nothing's changed in my methods in the last 2 months...
Here's a newbie question:
If You're in 4L and you're going up a hill - and it is covered in 12" of snow - and the hill starts getting steeper and steeper - so the Jeep is going slower and slower - and then it keeps getting steeper (Now it's at about 20% grade for the last kick)--> Is there a...
I just have to ask - no matter how ridiculous this is....
Is there any way to program ANY of the buttons on the steering wheel (preferably the rear paddle buttons) to activate a windshield wiper swipe?
Multiple times, every single outing I am bombing down logging roads - and even if it's sunny...
On the stock JLUS plastic bumper - all of the wiring for the fog lights, and the fog lights themselves are secure inside the bumper - nothing is exposed at all except for the when the 1 cable comes out for the fog lights that then goes and plugs up near the engine out of the way.
My new bumper...
I figured there might be some info to come out of this that will help others in the future.
I posted a thread some time ago asking for bumper recommendations based on my needs.
I ended up going with the RR HD FL bumper for the following reasons:
1. I wanted full length, yet not too heavy
2...
