So the issue is that the aftermarket wheels on my wrangler take spline drive lugs, however the Mopar CHMSL lug extensions are standard style. I am wondering if anyone has used those on an aftermarket wheel, if there is any issues doing so, or has a better alternative.
Like the title states, is there an issue with installing the CHMSL on an aftermarket wheel that uses the tuner style spline drive lugs? I know the lug seat is different, but does that make a difference on the spare? Is there an alternative that supports non-oem style lugs? I didn't see this...
I ordered my '22 Rubicon diesel to replace my '19 3.6 and the difference is huge. I get about 27 MPG with a 2" lift and E rated 35s and it still has plenty of torque to spare. One of my largest complaints with the 3.6 was terrible 0-60 and horrendous gas mileage, especially by comparison. Plus...
I had a '19 Sahara 3.6 and replaced it with a '22 Rubicon Diesel and there honestly is no comparison. It's faster, torquier, smoother and gets almost double the gas mileage. The extra torque makes adding things like larger tires (I upped to e range 35's) unnoticeable by comparison. As for the...
So I actually attempted this install. I read a lot of decently positive feedback and even ordered the replacement bolts/washers from BoltDepot and painted them black to match. I didn't even bother to use the ones that came with the Amazon carrier.
My issue was the reinforcement itself. The...
I put 392XR shocks, front end links and the Mopar lift LCAs on my 3.0 but used the Terraflex 1.5" spacer kit to lift it since the diesel uses same size springs. The shocks are much nicer than the stock Rubicon ones and the springs didn't change, just went up higher. All in all, pretty good bang...
This is mine on my other car. I know it's not a Jeep, but Im proud of it just the same haha. Thinking about doing one for the Jeep as well but haven't figured out what I want yet
Thanks for all the helpful info on this, Im gonna use the Teraflex 1.5" spacer lift as a comparison to the springs themselves. I guess my last question would be would I also need to replace bumpstops due to the longer shock travel? If so, any good recommendations?
Do you think there would be any issue with doing a small spacer lift on the stock springs and just replacing the shocks? At the moment I have received the shocks and am trying to figure out what the best way to go about the spring setup is. Thanks all for the knowledge as well
I would have thought something similar, but I found this thread where someone actually did the swap and ended up with a 3" lift? And that seems to be with non-XR springs. He had originally posted about it in the long thread I read through as well, but the short version is below. I suppose Im...
Do you happen to have an opinion on weather or not it would be better to use driver springs (shorter) or passenger springs (longer) for a diesel since they don't use different springs for each side? Im just trying to figure out which set I should order.
Based on my research, the diesel uses the same 2 springs on the front and the same 2 springs on the back. Would it be better to get 2 passenger side springs front or rear or driver side? I would think passenger because of the weight but I don’t know for sure
**UPDATE**
So I wanted to update this as I went ahead and installed the XR shocks, sway bar links, and Mopar lift LCAs but used the Terraflex 1.5" spacer lift and the Metalcloak Durospring bumpstops. The overall lift is what I wanted, I think anymore and I would need a step ladder. As for the...
Yeah I will see what they say when it goes in for service. Is there anything specifically I should mention to get them to properly look at the system? Seems to be kind of a dice roll weather or not they'll actually look at something correctly haha
