Since you are in Michigan, I would definitely get it. As others said it is inexpensive comparing to the price of your Jeep. I ordered it on my Sahara since I do a lot of winter driving on the snowy roads. For me it was an easy decision. Good luck with your order!

I have the same issue on my 4xe. It started this weekend on the highway. Very scary experience. I took it to the dealer and hope they will look at it soon. Just a notch under 7,500 miles on the car so I am definitely annoyed.

My 4xe started at -11 F in the morning with battery fully used up from driving a day before. It was not plugged in.

I have the same issue. Temperature dropped to 20s at night and everymorning ice kicks in on start. In the summer it never did. I am going to see my dealer this Friday to apply the updates.

In NY it was not on the DMV list but I applied and they send me the stickers. The only issue is they are so big and ugly i am not sure I want them on my new jeep.

I am bias since I got it for my 4xe. The main reason was for snow and wet conditions. I live in NY and often travel to VT and NH in the winter. Cost is rather low so it was easy decision for me. Good luck!

Interesting. I wander if this new cable can run at both levels. I picked my 4xe in April and it came with level 1. Anyway, to charge at level 2 you will need to install a level 2 charger (I did it) which comes with a cable so I do not see the benefit

I am satisfied with my 4xe acceleration. Coming off the 4runner I see big and positive difference in how quick it is. I guess it comes down to what you want your Jeep to do and my will never be 911. But it will take me on adventures 911 never would
