  1. Tankless water heater for outdoor overlanding/camping use?!?

All of the listed water heater systems here look great. I went a different route, factoring the limited space in the Jeep (no trailer). I bought the shower/washing system from Geyser. Chatted with the owner/designer for a while at overland expo PNW. Impressed by the systems functionality. I went...

I will be out. I have a coastal foraging class all day. :(
  3. Roof racks?

Well your weight requirements as listed are very low. You could get away with really any type of rack, including gutter mounted, which opens you up to lower cost options. Although, I would consider possible future plans as well (ie wanting to run a RTT, awnings, etc). The options listed, such...
  4. Diff Covers

Have ran the ARB diff covers front and rear for about a year. They have been greet. Once you mark the dipstick for the right level its very easy to change out the fluid. I will say, however, do yourself a favor and pick up a pack of o-rings for the plug and dipstick. I have found that they have...
  5. recs for best roof rack systems and RTT

Thanks! Not yet. They actually had it returned to them since freight caused damage. They're sending out a new one now. That reminds me to follow up. Hopefully I get it soon. Although I need to run some lighting through the rack before anyways. I'll definitely post updates!

Seat jackers are in from Desert Does It. Went with the shorty version. I was a bit skeptical if it would help. For me the Jeep has always been comfortable (6'1), but I definitely noticed the lack of lower thigh support. Immediately, after installing and taking a drive, I noticed the added...
  7. recs for best roof rack systems and RTT

I have a Gobi rack. Ordered a 4x4 Colorado Nimbus tent. Should be here in the next week or two, just waiting on the freight company to schedule. Will post some photos and update my build profile once it's here. Love the Gobi rack. Although I have not ran it with the RTT weight yet, I do get...

Update...fixed the S-Pod issue. Was just something stupid. I didn't know that you could leave the small 2amp fuse in the Bantam when running the Genesis system. The older Source system you would take out that fuse I guess. I got a little to far ahead of myself. All working now. Cross-over...
  9. 392 Bronze hook accent color

I can't remember the exact color since I believe they are power coated. I painted my red hooks the bronze color to match my other accents. I used Rust Oleum Champagne Bronze Metallic paint. It seems to be the most popular and closest paint. It applied very nice, even with touchups.

Genesis off-road dual battery setup installed. Appreciate the quality and instructions. Only hickup I need to figure out now is getting my S-Pod touchscreen to turn on. Pretty sure I have everything wired correctly to the battery system, pulled the circuit board protection fuse, even tried the...
  11. In your opinion what are the best all around tire for regular driving and snow/slippery conditions?

Going to throw in a other plug for Micky Thompson Baja Boss A/T's. From my experience so far, they have extremely impressive traction both on and off road. An aggressive A/T (I think they market it as a hybrid), but what I would consider very quite comparatively to other similar tires. dry and...

I can work on gathering up some gpx files. So everyone can see what I mapped out. Most of it is forest roads in the Buckhorn wilderness of Olympic. I don't have anything near Bremerton. Not sure of anything off-road trail wise there. But Buckhorn, depending on entrance would be rather close. Now...
  13. Solar Ideas

Not sure what budget you want to be in for the solar but it's worth checking out the solar blanket options too. Especially for size and weight. You can get 100-200w + in a 6-8lbs package compared to 25lbs or more in a suitcase. Also form factor is significantly smaller. A few brands are Cruxley...
  14. Current RTT options

If you're willing to source a few extra parts (ie a gladiator bed etc), the upcoming AAL Adventure trailer kit looks to be quite promising. I think there was a video that he mentioned it will be priced pretty reasonably too. https://americanadventurelab.com/adventure-trailer-kit-atk/ I added a...
  15. Roof Rack Mounted Camp Lights?

I have only had it for a few months. Waiting for Overland Expo PNW to decide on a RTT. And also on the final lighting setup. So far I have only started working with Pixeldecals on a custom vinyl for the wind deflector. There are quite a few grommets around the rack, along the side as well...
  16. Roof Rack Mounted Camp Lights?

Hello, I also have a Gobi rack. I have not decided on the exact lights yet but currently looking at either the KC 2" C series or Baja Designs S2 Pro (or sport). Both companies make great quality lights for this application. I currently run both brands on the Jeep. I also plan on running a rear...

Noticed my rear passenger tire was low. Aired it up and ran it all yesterday. Back down to 12lbs. Swapped it with the spare. Got to say, damn heavy to line up on the studs alone. Thinking of getting one of those tire lifts to mitigate future injury. Anyone use one? Wouldn't think it would have...

Also... Installed the Terra Acoustics Soundstage speakers. I added the replacement tweeter rings in satin black. I think it looks better, personally. Plus it does not reflect in the windshield nearly as much. Speakers are definitely an upgrade for the Alpine system. I would say it is most...

A few more projects "completed". Installed a Maximus-3 winch plate w/ a Superwinch SX10SR. Great combo. Decent spacing between the winch and grill. Wiring is high quality and sleeved. I added corrugated sleeving to the negative cable that is ran up to the battery, but the positive came...
  20. Current RTT options

Definitely have considered GFC. I love the light(er) weight and minimalist approach. The problem, like you indicated is availability. Have seen a few people switch out the mattress for a collapsible air/foam one so bedding can be stored. I'll add it to my list. I'm sure there will be several...
