I had a 2012 JKU with the 3.6. loved the Jeep, road better drove better and was quieter on the Hwy than my JLU has ever been.
But that 3.6 engine was a turd. Had it in the dealers shop for a new drivers side head at 15,000 miles. Traded it off when it sounded like it needed the same head...
Kinda depends what your daily drive is. I have a 2019 JLU Sport. I purchased it new in June of 2020. It’s the 2.0 turbo and it’s been perfect so far. Only 7,000 miles on the Jeep, I’m retired so not a lot of miles. I do travel to Tulsa from Springfield MO twice a year. The turnpike has a speed...
I have an appointment with the dealer this coming Wednesday, but just thought I would ask. Any one (with the AC on) get cold air from the dash and hot humid air on the floor?
My JLU Sport S has never been off road or had the hard top removed or doors. It’s my daily driver and so much fun to drive. I haven’t been to the mall in maybe 15 years. I just like the looks of the 4 door Jeep. To each his own.
I don’t ever get ask (why didn’t you get a 4 door) because that is what I got. I’m just the opposite of two door lovers in that I don’t like the shorter version and never would buy one.
This is going to be a little different. I purchased a new JKU Sarah in 2012. That was the first year for the 3.6 Pentastar. I, like many who purchased that year had to have the drivers side head replaced under warranty. I think most of the early problems with that engine have been sorted out...
Most of the time (driving my Jeep) I just hear the wind noise. Had my JLU Sport S about 10 months and the radio has yet to be on AM or FM. Willy’s road house, siriusXM, is on maybe 10% of the time.
At 74 years old, new country or any thing recorded in the last 15-20 years just doesn’t hold my...
Had my 2.0 turbo for about eight months. Gas tank was full from the dealer, no idea what they filled it with, since then it has been 91 octane. Gas keeps going up, that may change.
But I have to say, with an average of 26 mpg on the Hwy, I’m liking the mileage and performance of this little engine.
OK, forgive me if this has been talked about many times before. I went on a four hour drive, all interstate, yesterday. I had the cruse control on probably 90% of the time. My Jeep, 2019 JLU Sport S with 2.0 turbo said 26.3 MPG. I don’t know how far off this is, but it sure looked good. Jeep is...
It’s been really cold in fly over country. Haven’t seen 32 degrees in about 12 days.
Just setting in a parking lot, waiting on my better half, I can feel the cold wind on my neck and left shoulder. My JKU never had this problem. Might try adding some more strips of rubber around the doors.
When I was looking, last year, for a new JLU, I found a Sport S that Had everything I wanted except the cold weather package. The dealer told me he could not do the factory set up. He said they would install aftermarket heated seats for $600. He said he was unable to install heated steering...
