Nice work! I'm down with the option that will give the most driver's seat downward movement. Excited that someone is willing to provide a solution for us tall guys. I'll be ready to order a set to try out as soon as they are available.
I am sure I'm bias, but given the number of threads I've seen of people complaining about the driver's seat height, there sure seems to be the demand. Desertdoesit fabricates some nice front seat risers to help with thigh support, perhaps they could fabricate the entire seat rail such that it...
For the seat bottom issue, there are a couple of threads about ways to angle the seat bottom by adding a spacer where the front bolts mount to the floor. I went with spacers by Desert Does It (they are a new sponsor of the forum). They are pricey, but didn't want to compromise safety and felt...
Agreed. There's a thread with an option to lower the existing seat brackets, but it requires cutting up the seat rail. Not sure I'm ready to go that direction quite yet.
I'm 6'5" and find that my shoulders and upper back ache when driving my JL, but not in my JK. I tend to agree with your observation that due to the seat sitting higher and there being less room overall for the driver, I am likely subconsciously slouching to avoid hitting the sound bar. I've...
I decided to not use the dead pedal after I bought it. It's in the box it was shipped from MORE in, I haven't even opened the box from them. The $50 does not include shipping. I am in zip code 40059. I'd estimate $10 to ship UPS ground.
I have a set of the front seat jackers installed in my Rubicon. They definitely do make a big difference in the thigh support of my legs (I'm 6'5"). Raising the front of the seat a bit also makes for a little more leg room. The seat jackers are very well made. I'll also be interested in...
I just installed the seat jackers and found the same thing. They seem to lift the seat higher than my liking. On my JK I used a stack of washers to get a decent seat bottom recline, I may try the same on my JL.
42 from the dealer. My steering has felt squirrely since taking delivery last week, so as you all recommended, took the pressure down to the recommended 37psi. Hopefully that'll help.
I would highly recommend Jason Beltran at Hawk CDJR in Forest Park, IL. Placed my order on August 21 and took delivery on Oct. 6 (much faster than I expected). Jason is no non-sense. He quoted me an extremely attractive offer via email, suggested I sign up for the Tread Lightly membership for...
First, thanks for the update on the build sheet. Question, now that the build sheet is published, about how long after that will the window sticker be published?
