  1. Anyone irritated by the size of the footwell?

I drove on the right side of the road yesterday and it didn't fix this problem. ;)
  2. What Suspension setups are people running in Australia?

That looks great. Do you have more details on the kit you bought, amount of lift advertised and actual lift gained? What's the ride like with this setup?
  3. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

This looks like a great option. Do you have a link to this or where did you get it from?
  4. Why is the 392 towing capacity so low?

Typically you guys in the US of A have it better than what we do down under in Australia. We do however get a higher towing capacity here - on the 4 door it is 2500kg (5500 pounds). It's probably the only area where we are not more limited, for example we get the 3.6 Pentastar as the only engine...
  5. Batteries replacement made easy on RHD

Thanks for a very informative and detailed post. I'm sure this will come in handy for many as their JLs age and it gets to the point of having to replace batteries. Great write up.
  6. What tyres do you plan to run on your JL in Oz

How did you go with the spare tyre? Did you also find the rubber bumpers on the bottom are squashed down quite a lot? I only have 285/70R17 and had to trim these a bit.
  7. Show your trailer you use with your Jeep

I would love to get a Gladiator tub and turn that into a trailer to tow behind the JL.
  8. How long do Jeeps usually last?

I guess it depends on many things, but in general they appear to last as long as they do and not a moment longer. :headbang:
  9. Anyone irritated by the size of the footwell?

I'm getting used to it, it's not too bad. My biggest gripe is that there's no footrest for the left leg, that would make it so much more comfortable. I may look at putting in a few nutserts for attaching some kind of footrest.
  10. What tyres do you plan to run on your JL in Oz

Thanks mate, there’s quite a bit of squashing going on. I might need to cut more than that, but will start with small increments so as not to remove too much.
  11. What tyres do you plan to run on your JL in Oz

No offroad pics yet, just had the new tyres fitted today - Falken Wildpeak AT3W in a 285/70R17. I'm getting slight rubbing on a tight turn (full lock only), I think the wheels are touching the edges of the plastic trim pieces behind the front bullbar - will be removing these. EDIT: on taking...
  12. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

What did I do TO my Jeep? Nothing, but I did have a tyre shop treat Korg to some new shoes. Out with the stock 255/75R17 KM2 In with new Falken AT3W in 285/70R17
  13. Let’s see lifted granite crystal metallics!

Here’s my Jeep - 2.5” Teraflex spacer lift for now and still on the small 255/75R17 (32”) tyres we get on the export version Rubicon.
  14. Do you think we will ever see street legal JL half doors in Australia?

I'm sure some of the police would not be distracted by that kind of logic.
  15. Loose Steering Wrangler JL - Service Bulletin

I think your dealer might be the problem if you’ve waited that long for some other parts. It took just over 4 weeks from when I spoke to the dealer until they contacted me to say the parts arrived from the US.
  16. Do you think we will ever see street legal JL half doors in Australia?

Even if the half doors get sold in Australia (which I doubt) they will most likely not fit into the affordable bracket for most people.
  17. Loose Steering Wrangler JL - Service Bulletin

As mentioned in my last post, the dealer received the parts to do the TSB on my JLUR. I will update again but so far the first impressions are quite positive. I’ve only driven from the dealer back to work and then home. The steering feels slightly heavier than before and has a significant...
  18. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

I’ve had the tailgate table for a while but it was time to add a bit of red to it.
  19. Towbar Issue - Sydney Australia

They will cut/butcher your rear bumper even if it’s for a factory towbar in Australia. This is due to the different style of bumper we get on the overseas model compared to the US model. Wait until you see the ridiculous number plate relocation on the factory option - the ARB number plate...
  20. Loose Steering Wrangler JL - Service Bulletin

Just an update, got a call from the dealership last week, the parts have arrived and I’ll be taking the Jeep in for this TSB in about 2 weeks. Will report back once it’s been done and I’ve had some time to test it.
