  1. Installing LOD Destroyer sliders. Paint recommendations???

I am getting ready to install a set of LOD Destroyer sliders. I am definitely going to install the optional bolts, which means drilling additional holes. I am assuming that I should paint the holes after drilling? What is the recommendation for paint? Would a rattle can of Rustoleum be...
  2. Steering Gear TSB - Out of Warranty - Any Help from Jeep Cares?

@JeepCares PM sent. Thank you for reaching out.
  3. Steering Gear TSB - Out of Warranty - Any Help from Jeep Cares?

I was just reading on a FB page that Jeep Cares is helping people (such as myself) that are out of warranty get the TSB taken care of. Is this true? Has anyone without a warranty been able to get the fix done without having to pay $1500. for something that Jeep obviously knows has been an...
  4. How to Identify Lift?

    Thank you.
  5. How to Identify Lift?

I'm trying to determine if there is any sort of lift on my '18 Rubicon. What would be the easiest way to figure out if there is a lift, or if someone just swapped the shocks? Would sway bar links be a good place to start? Does anyone know the length of the stock links on a Rubicon?
  6. Uconnect, Carplay and GPX or KML Files

I would like to create routes using GPX and/or KML files. Is there a way to upload GPX of KML files into Uconnect's navigation? I'm just starting to play around with the Ramblr app, but would rather have the tracks displayed on the dash as opposed to trying download maps and follow along on...
  7. Steering issues cured by installing new Steering gear box! (per TSB 08-074-20)

Mine would be out of pocket due to being out of warranty.
  8. Steering issues cured by installing new Steering gear box! (per TSB 08-074-20)

I really wish that I could find a good dealer service center close to me to do this. It is going to be out of pocket cost for me to do it, and I can't seem to find anywhere around me that has any idea what I am talking about when I ask about the repair. For the cost, I want to at least feel...
  9. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

I just received a text from the service manager that the software update would be an additional $73.
  10. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

No, I feel I am just out of luck on this one. I bought it with 55,000 miles on it. Warranty was already done.
  11. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Based on the quote I received today, I would say 3.5 hours.
  12. Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

If only I had this kind of luck...:headbang: I'm still trying to find a dealer that I would trust enough to even check the tire pressure.
  13. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

So, I visited two separate dealerships today regarding this. The first one gave me the whole "It's just a jeep thing" speech. He said I would have to schedule a time for a tech to diagnose the problem. About $200. I thanked him for his time and went to another dealership. The second shop...
  14. AEV and Northridge4X4 came through

You were correct. They did me right. UPS will be here sometime Monday to collect the bumper that they banged up, and the new one is on it's way! They could have very easily told me to take it up with UPS, but instead stepped up to help a customer. A big "Thank you!" to Molly @Northridge4x4...
  15. New JL Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

This may be a silly question, but I'll ask anyway. Does it matter if you are out of warranty or not? Is a TSB treated similarly to a recall? Mine wanders a bit, but I contributed that to the fact that I was stepping out of an Audi and into a Jeep. I don't expect it to handle like a...
  16. Members old and new -- check in and wave hello!

New member here. Traded my 2016 Audi S5 for a 2018 2 door Rubicon. I must say, these new Jeeps sure do ride better than my old CJ7! (But, I'm still a sucker for the CJ's!)
  17. AEV and Northridge4X4 came through

I'm really hoping that their customer service is as good as everyone says. I'll start by saying that I learned about @Northridge4x4 from these forums. I decided to give them a shot. So, I ordered up a new bumper, skid, winch, etc. etc. (I wish that I would have known about the forum...
