  1. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

Another tear down this weekend. I was thinking I was a tooth off which was causing my issues. I was going to pull the front of the motor but believe I’ve found the issue. The entire time I’ve been working on bank and this is first time I’ve opened up bank 2. I wanted to make sure the 2 sides...
  2. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

Oil pressure and temp are good. I’ve been tracking them for weeks now.
  3. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

Not a spark plug. It’s the plug that goes to the neutral saftey switch sensor. I broke it years ago and could never find the right plug. So I’m getting a kit to see if I can build one. I bought some generic ones and there were different issues with each one and mopar factory parts will only sell...
  4. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

The timing slow response and the stuck in lift position code are still there. I may have found a fix for the codes my buddy believes are keeping it from doing the relearn. I will find out later today. Looks like a plug issue.
  5. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

Finally found someone that has an ODB scanner that can do the relearn on a Chrysler and due to it having other codes it could not complete the relearn process. Going to attempt to fix the other issues then try again I believe the timing is off a tooth and will pull the cover to see if they...
  6. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

Went out and got a better OBD2 scanner. See pics attached. Cam2 both sides run at -2ish. Cam 1 one side at-2 the other at -5. Looks like it might be out of time by a tooth? Any other ideas why it would off. 1 cam is new and the other is old on the CAM1 side. Would that cause it to be off?
  7. Is this ticking normal?

Lifter and fuel injector tick sound very similar. Get a stethoscope and you’ll be able to hear where it’s coming from since they are right next to each other. I’m guessing fuel injector.
  8. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

Monitored the oil pressure all week. At idle it was always around 30. 28 was the lowest and 33 was the highest. No change when I lost power oil temp were mostly around 210 with 233 being the highest and dropping into the 190s after losing power one of the fuel injectors started ticking on the...

  10. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

I removed the VVL and it is functioning properly no metallic contamination. The VVT was not removed but I will double check it
  11. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

The front VVL The front VVL had what looked like oil resting on top of it but no oil on engine cover itself. I cleaned it up and used a multimeter to test it along with the power going to it. All good. I attempted to check the VVT but I couldn’t get the leads deep enough to check the sensor...
  12. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

No I have not. Not even after I replaced the camshaft. I’ll Google the procedure unless you are familiar with it and could tell me how to do it
  13. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

I’ll be checking the VVT and VVL tonight since they are easy to get too. Any suggestions on what to look for?
  14. Multiple Codes 500 miles after replacing rockers/ lifters and camshaft.

Long Story.... I replaced my lifters/ rockers and intake camshaft on the bank 1 side about 500 miles ago. Over a year ago I replaced my clutch and broke a wire going to my neutral safety switch which caused the ESS light to come on and ever since the jeep does not know what gear it is...
  15. Fuse for Neutral Switch Sensor on Manual

Anyone know which slot the fuse for the Nuetral switch sensor is located. The cover was no help and Google didn’t get me much further. Any help is appreciated.
  16. SOFT TOP WITH ALL FABRIC SIDE PANELS

I've seen a couple custom jeeps with soft tops and instead of a plastic windows on the side it is just an all fabric insert. I've been looking around and cant seem to find them. Has anyone seen something like this for sale? I tried going to a place that redoes car interiors and they didn't...
  17. New Lifters Rockers and Camshaft

That was my worry too. Once I got it apart I realized I could get factory OEM intake rockers and camshaft for half of what the stealerships wanted, so I ended up waiting on shipping for a week. The misfire code worries me the most about yours. Mine never thru any codes for the time I was...
  18. New Lifters Rockers and Camshaft

I drove it for about 18 months with the ticking. I only changed out the rocker arms that were damaged on the intake side because they are $80 a piece. The lifters are like $12/ each and the exhaust side comes as lifter and rocker combine for $12 each. I ended up buying a new intake camshaft also...
