I installed this light and it works great. The rear outlet can be setup two ways. Default is hot all the time. Or you can move the fuse to get hot only with the ignition power on. I posted pictures of my setup to the site...
It changes the whole crash risk of the JL. Super lifting it does the same thing. But in an accident instead of just moving forward. It will move up as well. Meaning it's a much higher risk to going over the back and into the passengers. It also points the headlights up much higher. So large...
I installed them. I can't really say I can tell the difference. I put them in with the headliner. So I can't really separate the change. Its noticeable with everthing installed. It does cover most of the white on the side panels. So you do get the look value out of them as well.
No flapping at all it's tight all the way around. It's really noticeable that it cuts the sun's heat while the top is open. Really happy with it. Material is really heavy quality.

Here is the view of it from the top and a video of it opening. I'm very happy with it. Most of the time there is something you just have to accept. This was a nice surprise to really provide what was expected and more.
Here is a link to the video of it installed and opening.
I was looking for options to reduce the wind noise caused by the Sky One Touch top. It's not bad but much more noticeable than the standard hardtop. It's also not great on keeping the inside temp managed on hot or cold days. I stumbled on the hotheads website...
I just ran into this myself. You have to use the cable that came with it. The cable they provide is a USB to a serial port converter. You can check if you have the right cable by opening the "Windows Device Manager". If you are on a mac it under devices. I attached an image of where to find...
