went for an OnX subscription for Black Friday so I can peruse some trails....surprised to find this area in SW Wisconsin (near Platteville, Yellowstone Lake). Looks mostly like gravel roads, but something I didnt know existed. anyone with experience here to shed some light on this region?
As many of you probably also have I've noticed the current deal on the Warn Evo winches.
I know if I want to get out there more into some more serious stuff that I need to get a winch and this seems like a good deal.
I know the Evo is the Chinese version, but to my understanding still made to...
As I'm getting my outfit dialed in more I had an issue I wanted to solve. My RTT (Roofnest Falcon) has exposed bolt heads lining the floor. These bolt heads hold the factory mounting rails. I also have added some bolts to better line up with my rack and to use an alternative mounting solution...
Had some fun at the Silver Lake dunes (MI) yesterday. If you haven't been there, and it's within a reasonable distance, I highly recommend it.
I know there are 2 camps on the 2.0 and very little middle ground. But I have to say I'm thrilled with that motor. It's not a race car, but it's a...
Looking for "attic" storage solutions that you may have found/used. Only one I've found is the blue ridge overland net. Which looks sufficient, but if something else is out there I'd like to see it. Thanks in advance.

Finally got some life stuff out of the way and I'm getting down to getting my camping setup dialed in.
Wondering if anyone has relocated the factory mounting channels on a Roofnest Falcon (or similar)?
If you have, what did you fill factory holes with? (I'm thinking I'll epoxy and or...

My diesel heater came with an adequate hose, but it's rather inflexible and the inside of it seems almost paper-based (the exterior is coated). I'm wondering if anyone knows offhand of a more flexible solution that I'd be less concerned to get wet in the wild.
Title sums up question. Wondering if anyone has used these (specifically with a roofnest falcon would be great).

Thought I might turn to the experts here...
So over the winter I grabbed a planar diesel heater. It works awesome...has a side benefit of heating my garage in the cold season too. Anyway, it came with ring terminals to run straight off the batteries, I cut those off and put on an appropriately...
Selling my Jackery 500. Nothing wrong with it, just want to step up to the 1000. Both AC and DC charging cables included, but not pictured.
Far south suburbs.
$350
Selling these XG bags. They're awesome, but unfortunately they are not compatible with the soft top or the bracketry for my roof rack. So, I'm looking for a better home for them. Far south Chicago suburbs.
$100
all - installing my Maximus 3 rack and I've hit a snag. There is a discrepancy in the directions as to the mark location for the drill holes. In one place it says to drill at 173mm from the joint line, but in the associated diagram the mark says 178mm.
Hoping someone has recently installed...
Wondering what the community experience is with diesel heater options thus far (seems like a newer product category, at least for our application). I know there are numerous DIY methods for making these, but I notice that Lo Lo overland has a turnkey offering (no affiliation...just stumbled...
All. Wondering if anyone with a Maximus-3 system can confirm the advertised 2.25" overall height addition (without rails). Im dealing with a tight squeeze in my garage, and while I should have enough room, I dont want to get it on and be surprised.
Continuing some due-diligence on potential RTT ownership....
If I select this route Im going to be faced with the prospect of mounting/dismounting an RTT by myself. But....my garage is not tall enough for a pulley system to be an option.
So Im wondering if anyone out there has been in this...
Before we get too far I want to eliminate cost from this thread. RTT's are pricey. They have the "hidden" cost of a rack. We know this, so lets just eliminate that for now.
What are your qualifiers in this debate?
For me RTT's are plus in terms of critters (not gonna lie that slithering...
Saw some chatter a few weeks ago about the (limited) recall of the 2.0 jeeps due to the fuel line fitting issue. Lucky for me my Wrangler fell into that production window.
Im at the dealer now. The way the recall is written this trip in is for "inspection" only of the issue. Not immediate...
