  1. Lift thought validation

Dave, I had a similar dilemma.but I do put a lot more miles on than you would. My Rubicon is my daily driver, and I've put 40k miles on it in 2 1/2 years...I have done some offroading during some trips out west and Alaska but primarily it's on the pavement. I'm running 35x12.5 KO2s so similar...
  2. Super disappointed in tires

I've had a set of 35x12.5 KO2s since they day I got my rubicon (40k miles now). No problems in the snow here in Pittsburgh (PA). Like some other people mentioned earlier on the thread...I didn't read through all 6 pages just wanted to give my input...dropping the psi down to around 30 in the...

  5. JLURD refrigerator charging off cargo 12v with GoalZero Yeti 500x

I did this in an afternoon…obviously had to order the accessory outlets from Genesis. But everything else I was able to get from Advanved Auto. And like someone else posted you just have to switch the F43/45 fuse to make it only one with ignition. The tap in to the rear 12V was simple once you...
  6. JLURD refrigerator charging off cargo 12v with GoalZero Yeti 500x

Just did a very similar project without the solar panels but that’d be an easy addition. I have my fridge running through my Jackery. Jackery alone will power my fridge for at least 24 hours. I was worried about killing my battery as well so went this route. Jackery charges when jeep is...
  7. Adding Accessory 12V and USBs to rear - Wiring Help

For anyone who comes across the post in the future just wanted to update. Here’s a picture of the finished product and a diagram of how I wired it up. Thanks JAF for the help and just noticed you’re from Pittsburgh as well. Always nice to see local people on the forums. We’ll have to wheel...
  8. Adding Accessory 12V and USBs to rear - Wiring Help

Any recommendations on a relay? I came across this one on Amazon. And in terms of the ignition power source, would the best bet be to run a fuse tap into one of the ignition controlled fuses or is there another method? Sorry for the what seems very simple questions! I appreciate it; first time...
  9. Adding Accessory 12V and USBs to rear - Wiring Help

Unfortunately I don't have the factory AUX switches. Kicking myself for not including them in my build right now haha. Your write up is exactly what I want to do though! Just trying to figure out how to get the socket switched off when the ignition is off like you can with the factory aux switches.
  10. Adding Accessory 12V and USBs to rear - Wiring Help

Hey everyone, I'll try to keep this short and to the point! I have a Dometic 45 and a jackery that I'm trying to wire up in my Jeep JL. Current Situation: Jackery is plugged into factory 12V, dometic into the jackery; when jeep is running the jackery charges + runs the fridge; when the jeep is...

  14. Harbor Freight Badland Apex 12,000# Winch Lower Price

https://www.rockhard4x4.com/product_p/rh-90206.htm Didn't have to use any spacers, fit perfect. Only issue was the bolts for the fairlead weren't long enough...the Badland fairlead is pretty thick. Quick trip to home depot fixed it though.
  15. Harbor Freight Badland Apex 12,000# Winch Lower Price

Just finished install, love it. Went with the rock hard 4x4 winch plate because of some suggestions on here and the gladiator forums instead of the Warn. It was cheaper and instock so that was a plus! Had no issues with fitment, both with the positive wire out the back and with the...
  16. 2.0 Engine Noise (New to the 2.0)

I noticed the same whine when I got my 2.0T in Sept. Did some research...you might be referring to the electronic power steering...it makes a very high pitch whine. Put the windows down in park and turn the steering wheel back and forth, see if that's the sound you're hearing.
  17. White Letters Out?

Joining the white letters out club! Was actually an accident...wanted the white's in on my new 35s but forget to tell the tire shop and they put them out since the factory BFGs were white out. Was an accident but love the look.
  18. What do people think of the teraflex nomads?
