I look at this way. It is not my taste at all (I am excited to see one in person and may change my mind) but it you like it, get it. My wife and I wanted a Mojito Rubi so badly but couldn't get into a new Jeep before it was discoed. She liked Bikini, I told her if we lived in a warm climate I...
I had a V6 for about 2 years, in my JL two door. Zero complaints. I ordered an 80th Unlimited over the winter and have been driving that with the 2.0 since December, and LOVE it. it's just as quick and gets about 5MPG better, but it helps. If I had been able to swing it I would have gone 4xe.
I ran a couple tanks of regular (87) this winter. I was testing it for myself. I had read that they recommend premium for efficiency in warmer weather, and towing. I have run premium since. My mileage suffered about 2mpg on 87 vs 91 and she felt a bit sluggish. Won't be running anything but...
Making some hood graphics for my 80th. It is basically a rip off the 4xe insert but with the WILLY's icon in place of that and a topo map in the middle. Thinking of naming my Jeep "Namine". It's from a video game my son and I play together was his pick. Wasn't really thrilled about it at first...
Lived in Europe for a while and my dad was traveling back and forth from the states to France. He had a medical emergency in the little town he was living in. Took him 2 hours by ambulance, in the hospital for a week, 2 heart specialist (one was a surgeon) checking on him hourly and his...
When I was in the tuner world, we'd see a post like this, send our condolences, and ask one question.
"Part out?"
That being said if anyone sees the Rubicon hood come up for sale let me know. 😅
I still don’t think it was 4 low. If you do a basic conversion on low top speed would be about half of the top speed of 110. That puts you at 55. So as already pointed out, the rev limiter would be screaming.
From the owners manual...
Four-Wheel Drive Low Range — This range provides low
speed four-wheel drive. It maximizes torque to the front
driveshaft, forcing the front and rear wheels to rotate at the
same speed. This range provides additional traction and
maximum pulling power for loose...
If I hadn't just gotten my 80th I would be looking at the 4xe. I kinda wish I had waited now that pricing has been released under what was expected. Given my pick I would take the 4xe with the tax incentives all day over 77k and 10mpg.
Going from SportS two door, my wife and I just got out Unlimited 80th. With your list, I would HIGHLY recommend this as an option. It comes standard with the Alpine (not the best system I have ever had but for stock it is miles about the other option). The 2.0 Turbo is also standard. You would...
I agree with you that the OP (of the post you are responding to) is a bit, reactionary. I think we can all say we have had BOTH good and bad experiences with the Police. The problem isn't the badge, the problem is the person wearing the badge. If the person is an asshole, then they will be worse...
Santa got me an 80th Anniversary Unlimited.
Dad got me a full set of Rubicon take off suspension.
I got myself some rock rails, and already have the Rubicon take off wheels and tires.
Build will happen soon(ish) don't like working in a cold Wisconsin garage in winter.
That's exactly how I was on the 4xe. Speculation at the dealership I go to (shout out to Don Miller in Madison) was about 6k add on as that is what the Pacifica electric cost over the standard. Still waiting to be seen though.
