We got our manual regeared to 4.88s and run 33s. The combo is great especially for driving up the mountain roads here in Utah. 1st is really short now and you can even start from 2nd in most cases. We also can now use 6th gear which was nonexistent beforehand. We went with 4.88s as recommended...
Happy to help! We’ve decided the 2 door may be better suited for trails and rock crawling than overlanding so that’s the route we’re going to go with it now I think.
I think we were getting like 11-12 mpg with the rack and tent and since we took both off we’re around 18 mpg now. The mounting brackets on the ikamper worked okay with the Gobi however it’s a pretty tight fit where you would put one of the crossbars above the basket part of the rack so we had...
The Gobi rack is top quality for sure but with the soft top and the rack it is pretty loud in the cabin. It was just too loud for trips longer than 30 min or so. We just got sick of the noise and big hit on fuel economy after 3 years. Putting the soft top down with the Gobi rack on top is...
I’ve been looking at Bedrug BedTred as an option. They have front and rear for the two door along with installation videos.

Sunday drive on the Pony Express in Utah. Looking at these…thinking a lift is on the table soon. Running 33s right now but plan to move to 35s eventually. Open to recommendations on lifts!
Hard to narrow it down. But top 3: Stinger Radio upgrade from the tiny 5in head unit , Oracle Oculus LED headlights to replace the halogens, Rockslide Engineering tailgate table gets used a ton for camping and tailgating! Also can’t forgot my fluffy copilots..
Saw another option recently from Bedrug Bedtred for the rear ….looks like a decent option if Armorlite never makes a rear kit for the 2 door

So we have the Quick Release Attachments for the Gobi Rack which allow you to release the top rack so you can fold down the soft top. I've included a link to a youtube video that shows how this works. I've been able to do it myself but it's definitely easier with 2 people.
Around the 7:30 mark...
The dealership covered it under warranty for me however at the time I probably only had 12,000 miles so I'm not sure if there is a mileage cut off for what they cover as part of the drivetrain.
