@Pinky Tuscadero Quick update... I usually leave the door hinge bolts off so it's easier to remove the doors. I did see a good amount of movement, so I put the bolts back on just for the passenger front door. I hosed it down all down into area under the wipers, all around the door, freedom...
I checked the door and found there was a good amount of movement, so I ordered bushings from Quadratec. Gonna get some Doritos too. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks... some good advice I'll check out. I get it, but part of me just can't give up the fact that this is bs. I'm going to see if I can figure out at least generally where the leak is coming from on my own. Something I should have done a long time ago.
What really set me off was when I...
Well this is just fantastic... I just checked the freedom panel to see if I could tell where the water is coming and and noticed I have corrosion again around the window where it was repaired before...they practically painted the whole Jeep. This thing is turning into a lemon... so...
My understanding is that you can’t remove the top with that installed. Anyway the only thing I’m considering ditching right now is the whole vehicle. The ownership experience has been quite mixed.
@jludave thanks for the reply. The first two times and the last time it was work on by a "leak specialist" two different dealerships. I don't know if a leak specialist looked at it the times in between.
Usually on these cheaply made "moddable" vehicles like Jeeps, Mustangs, etc. I just...
IDK, every time I take it in they say they found the leak, fixed it, and ran a ton of water to test. Then the next time it rains, water on the mat. Last time they said it was the seals on the freedom panels and that it's advised not to remove them. The time before that it was some hose or...
I'm probably screwed. I think this is beyond the GM at a dealership since I've been to three dealerships already. And after all the upgrades I put in, a buyback probably isn't a good option either. I'll check the laws in Florida.
This is so disappointing. I love the Jeep, but this...
What is the next level after dealing with Jeep Cares? I’ve had my jeep in at least 5 times to three different dealerships for a leak over the passenger mat. Still not fixed. The last time the dealership actually advised I shouldn’t remove the freedom panels.
I’m not sure what Jeep Cares...
Finally ordered it. It's sitting in my garage now! I'm pretty sure I'm going to drill the holes, so I just need to get some primer or something for protection. I am a liiitle concerned about the positioning of the brake light, so I might put one of those led ones on the lic plate.
It’s not coolant. It’s coming from under the dash. Possible it’s from AC but only seems to show up sometimes after a heavy rain. I live in south Florida so the AC is running nearly a 100% of the time even when the top is off. Im planning on doing a water test but haven’t gotten to it yet.
Thanks for all the responses.... I know the dealer did something because the leaking stopped for awhile. I just had it at the body shop to fix corrosion around the window frame, all the door hinges, hood and tailgate hinges... maybe they upset some seals in that process. I have to say...
Bought my 2020 JLU Willys brand new and have had it at the dealership 3x already for a leak. Water puddle on the passenger floormat. It goes away for awhile and keeps coming back. Not sure what to do anymore, seems a new almost $50k vehicle w/15k miles shouldn't be leaking... am I asking too...
