Thank you @McQueen ! When I bought and installed it, I didn't see your post. Your fix makes total sense, but I wish we didn't have to do this. Their product description is very misleading.
I regretted getting the LOD Destroyer sliders. During my first time using it on the trails, I had a slight drop on a rock, definitely not a hard drop, it bent and damaged the body - something it is meant to protect! Even the stock slider would do better because it doesn't stick out so much! This...
Sorry for the late update. I have been busy with work. Finally had some time during the holiday break to provide an update here.
Tim and folks at Northridge took a thorough look at my rig in the summer. Tried road testing, took off the diff cover to visually inspect the gears, installed a...
@Northridge4x4 , @Tech Tim , this job was done at your Silverdale shop. I will need your help convey the opinions here to the technician. Can you help?
Just regeared my 2021 JLUR 3.6 to 5.13 at a very reputable shop about a month ago. Right after the regear, on the way home I noticed this rotational click noise when coasting between 8-10 mph. It is very obvious when stopping for a traffic light. It happens when the speed slows down to 10 mph. I...
@chevymitchell , I recorded a video below to show the noise. It can be heard at 5" and 10" with 5 and 4 clicks of noise respectively. Can you confirm help it is the same whining/humming issue being talked about here? Thanks!
I was debating to go with 4.88 or 5.13, and the shop strongly recommended 5.13 with my set up and mountain pass driving. I didn't see a huge torque gain since I am taking it easy during break-in, but I did notice 1-2 MPG improvement for local driving.
BTW, does the humming impact anything? Does...
I just did a regear to 5.13 for my 2021 JLUR last week. Everything is ok except that when coasting between 8-10 mph I can clearly hear the gear rotational humming sound. Is this something I need to address immediately and can wait till 500 mile checkup to resolve? @chevymitchell , any...
Just saw this post. I had Hutchinson RockMonster wheels with 37 BFG KO2 tire for 1.5 years and 13K miles. They have been running very well. I like the look and the ability to air down to single digit PSI which is a must when snow wheeling. They are also among the few DOT approved beadlock...
Thanks guys for the information! Appreciate it. I noticed that after some driving, it loosened up enough to rotate about 12 clicks, not the full 24 or 25. I left it on one setting most of the time anyway. I did contact Fox customer support in July over email, but they never got back to me.
