Typically happens for me when I start the car in the garage and objects are too close to my Jeep. I will pull out of garage and then turn off/on the Jeep and it clears the issue.
Maybe? As in I didn't have any issues and was able to install my ACE Rock Sliders the other day after the Dealership and 4x4Parts refused to perform the install. There were times that I had to reverse the bolt to get it moving again. There was red Loctite on the front bolts but blue on the...
Yes, I pushed on each one and surprised at the movement I felt. Clearly someone/something at the factory needs to be retrained on how to insert and seat fuses.
Finally went out to the garage to check my fuses and was quite surprised at how many I had to firmly seat. I currently have 704 miles and no issues to report so far (knock on wood).
Reading this thread put the fear in me and I made an appointment with the local Jeep dealership in Cary, NC. Took the car in at 8AM this morning and 11:40AM they called me and said they wouldn't be able to install the ACE JL Rock Sliders. Apparently they didn't have the right equipment to heat...
Yes, they did it as if it was their own vehicle, the correct way. Sand it down, paint it. We can't tell there was ever a deep scrape to the metal/primer.
They replaced the plastic trim piece.
Same happened to us, driver side plastic trim near roll bar was gouged and the passenger side roll bar had a deep scratch in the paint. Both seemed like they happened in the factory when they were installing the soft top.
Thankfully both were taken care of by Tri-City on the "We Owe" document...
Nope, we just ordered our JLUR 2021 with the Premium Soft Top. We didn't want to hassle (the wife's and my opinion) with a hard top removal and storage. This also means we are more likely to ride around with the top down.
