  1. Need advice on a trailer for my Jeep JLU Sahara please!

I looked at both, the wolf pup and the geo pro because both had north-south beds and a nice layout. I ultimately settled on the gulfstream 19erd. It was slightly roomier, but not rated to go off road, unlike the other two. My Diesel Sahara pulls it with out issues and I still get 22 mpg. The...
  2. Anyone Tow a Camper? Size? Pics?

I just picked up my 2022 19ERD. 3090 dry with 370 tongue. Installed the equalizer hitch today and got it all ready to go for a short maiden voyage to the Columbia River Gorge. My suburban towed it home like a charm without the equalizer hitch. Hoping the Jeep will too, since it has more torque...
  3. Cracked Windshield Club

Bam, just like that I became a member in a club I didn't want to😂😂. Turned my diesel on remotely, brushed the 4 inches of snow off the windshield to find 1/4 inch of ice under it. It cracked on the button middle going up about 2 inches then left a foot. I'll guess I'll see the dealer on Monday.
  4. It starts... Trailer build

14 ga galvanized steel for floor. I do like your idea of oak sides rubbed in used oil.
  5. Would you recommend the Ecodiesel for my use case listed below? I am on the fence.

I only drive 8 miles to work one way. and then I add a longer trip usually every other week. I bought JLURD in April and I just got to 3700 miles. I foresee having to change the oil due to age and not milage. I never have had an issue with the regen or even gotten an message. I do notice that...
  6. It starts... Trailer build

My only suggestion for trailer lights would be to go flush mounted, if you have enough space in the back.
  7. It starts... Trailer build

I started with a 4x6 flatbed and it turned into this. The trailer was $200 and another $500 for the rest of the build.
  8. It starts... Trailer build

HeHe, let's get the cutting tools and welder out. Gonna be a fun project. I remember when I built mine. Don't thread the hindsight of I should've or could 've.
  9. Let's talk coffee, what is your set up?

I use this for boiling water, works well and does double duty for usb charging.
  10. Trailer overlanding

Last year I got tired of having to load every time I wanted to go camping and then unload it when I return. I thought about a trailer to keep everything in it all the time, so all I have to do is hook up get ice and go. I saw a small 4x6 flatbed for sale for $200 and invested another 300 to...
  11. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

It's the first time the diesel and my diy rtt trailer are going camping. Next trip will be next week to the Oregon coast.
  12. Lease or Buy 2020 JLR Ecodiesel

With the lease the Jeep will be mostly under warranty for the lease. That was my deciding factor, especially since the combination of diesel and wrangler is new. After the lease I'll decide to either keep it or try a diesel gladiator.
  13. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

I put on an awning in anticipation of next week's camping trip.
  14. Scarcity?

Even in PNW they are scarce, When I picked up mine it was the only diesel Sahara within a 500 mile radius. I was going to order one and it would have taken up to 6 month. Luckily someone else did order theirs and then COVID hit. I got all the options I wanted and then some except for the color...
  15. Diesel JLU Yellow Can Club

I finally got mine, all black Sahara Diesel. I call it the holy grail of the Jeeps. After a 160 miles I keep loving it even more by every mile I drive. Modifications were so much easier to decide on when I had my 3rd Gen T4R, since there were not that many options, this is a whole different...
  16. Re-Balance - Worth doing on a 37? If so, how often?

I have been using the ceramic beads in my tires for years on my 4runner, Suburban and will use them on my JLU as well. Nice part is if you knock of a junk of rubber the tire still stays balanced. Might be worth looking into it.
