Yes, I am running the IVD Stage 8 on a 2020 JLU Rubicon Recon. I went directly with the Stage 8 because I learned my lesson the hard way with my previous Jeep.
I had bought a used 2009 JKU that had a 3.5" lift and 37" tires. I didn't know much back then. To keep my story short...at some...
I've got an Icon Vehicle Dynamics Stage 8 2.5" lift. Running 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers, and TeraFlex Deluxe Nomad 17" wheels. This photo shows them without the rash-rings (out for power-coat).
@Harsh
Good morning. My wife hated my old JKU on 37s and she has actually mentioned that its like a night and day difference. I think the ICON 2.5 Series remote reservoir shocks with vehicle specific valving and ICON's CDC (Compression Damping Control) makes a huge difference. On the...

@Biohazard,
Well, I've had the ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2.5" Stage 8 installed now for about 1 month now and I am loving it! I also installed the IVD Steering Stabilizer. Here are a few photos:
@Fire Burns
I agree with you 100%. However, I was in a spot. I just dumped a huge amount of $$$ on the ICON Stage 8 full suspension lift and I couldn't afford the new LOD rear bumper and LOD tire carrier that I want to (and will eventually) get. So, since I already had the heavy duty...
@RubiCoug
I have a 2020 JLU Rubicon Recon and went thru the same dilemma. The Go Rhino 372000T Rockline Spare Tire Relocation Kit was the least expensive alternative I could find. It cost me $144 at Quadratec. It lets me mount a 37" tire and uses the stock 3rd brake light. The stock camara...
@Rhinebeck01,
Yahoo! That solved my problem. I removed the Freedom Panels and the windshield lowered without any issues! Thank you and cns721 for your help. It was very much appreciated.
Sincerely,
-David Y.
@cns721,
Yes, I will reply here with the results of my next attempt at lowering the windshield, and yes - I will be careful about the wires as I lower the windshield. Thanks for the info about windshield replacement. I know it is inevitable, but I'm really not looking forward to the day I...
@cns721,
Thanks for linking the video. He made it look so easy. When I tried to do it, I left the freedom panels on. I wonder if they are somehow locking my windshield in place? If not, then I guess there is just an unusual amount of sealer I'll have to wrangle free. I appreciate the quick...
@Rhinebeck01,
Thanks for the response. That makes sense to me. Ha - I went to my dealer yesterday and you're correct. If I ever figure it out, I will definitely share the info. Thanks, -David Y.
Thank You! These are excellent step-by-step instructions. However, they don't work for me. I don't know if my issue is only related to people who have the JLU Rubicon Recon or not. Here is my issue. I would appreciate if anyone could help [Thanks in advance].
Please see the attached file...
I'm a simple man. Although I don't drink like I did when I was younger, when I do drink, I like my JD straight-up. I like the Gentleman Jack and the single barrel. I've been a member of the Tennessee Squires for 30+ years. I also like a nice, high-end tequila every once in awhile.
Steven, yeah that Epic fairlead looks excellent. The color provides a subtle contrast and flows perfectly with the Granite Crystal.
On another note, I think you had a Kargo Master Safari rack on your JK [which I liked]. I know they got bought-up by Metal Cloak, but I don't think MC is...
Initial thoughts: I haven't messed with the different shock settings. Currently, I have it set stiff and it rides very nice. It rides much b etter and smoother than my old 2009 JKU. I've only been able to drive around in the city thus far, and I'm loving the Icon suspension and the Nittos...
Hi Steven,
I ended up using the Warn mounting plate. I stalled a Factor 55 UltraHook.
I've attached some photos. The photos also show various components of the ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2.5" Stage 8 suspension lift kit. I'm running 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 17" Teraflex Nomad wheels. I've...
