When the music is on, I get a very annoying rattle that I’ve pinned down to this cable vibrating in its housing. Can I unplug it and wrap in electrical tape or something? Would love to hear if someone has gone through this
My wife and I were camping at about 10,000’ in a fairly wet environment. Driving down the next day, my wife smelled smoke so I pulled over to inspect the engine bay. Was rather alarmed to find a smoldering chipmunk nest - assuming the engine bay was an enticing warm and dry spot for an animal...
Thank you for your update! I sold my first JL and ordered a second after going crazy from the knock issue. I have run higher octane in the new one so less paranoid about long term engine failure but am now getting this stupid 3k RPM noise... I think you made the right decision to sell as I don't...
As demonstrated in this thread, unfortunately, FCA does consider this a normal noise. The language in the owner's manual was clearly written to address this. I recommend using higher octane fuel or selling the vehicle... fighting FCA on this is not worth your time.
Like many of you, I've noticed some spark knock when accelerating at low RPMs. This noise is completely different. Sometimes while accelerating, most of the time uphill, I get an alarming rattle that sounds like raw, unfiltered engine noise in the cabin. The noise sounds like it comes from the...
Do you mean inside the dash and back out into the cab? Or wiring to an aux? Wasn't sure if it was worth the hassle to find a relay and use up an aux slot
Installed my dash cam a couple weeks back and I managed to tuck the wire behind the trim all the way down to the dash. From there, I'm running the wire down the outside of the dash where it meets the door and under the floor mat to the center console USB. All of the wire is concealed except the...
I think the allure of badge trails is they get you to places you may not otherwise get to. Peter's Mill Run is just an hour from Flagpole Knob, which is unequivocally the best moderate trail on the east coast between Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Dickie Bell in North Carolina is right in...
I live at around 5400 feet and run 87 (premium here) to avoid the spark knock that comes with the 3.6. Came down from a two day trip at 12,000 get today and filled up with 87 and the engine is now knocking like crazy. Just threw in a bottle of STP since the noise drives me crazy but I’m curious…...
Who is going? Will be my first time out. We found the event today through the CORE instagram page and are stoked to get out in the mountains with cool jeep people, mountain biking, and beer
Recommend you get the AAL retention hardware that replaces the fender clips. Makes it easier to to take the fender on and off if you need to and the plastic clips will be weaker when you reinstall the fender. Something like $50 for a set. I installed their fender liners myself and it was a bit...
My dealership refused service after escalating to Denver regional. Happened to me after driving through Kansas in high winds. No idea how the liner gets loose but that was definitely the cause. Having the jeep weighed down and tilted up slightly probably increases the likelihood of this...
Every time I drive my girlfriend's car I remember why keyless entry is a game changer. Assuming you're a guy, you're probably like every man out there that likes to grab everything in one trip. With the keyless entry, no need to fish anything out of your pocket. It just opens. Over the life of...
Girlfriend likes to put her feet on the grab bar so I wrapped it in paracord to match the dark saddle seats in my JLR. Has a saddle blanket texture to it and I’m loving the look.
