@JeepCares we ever going to fix this or just let them fail out of warranty? Seems like a tune issue so why not fix the tune. Jeep owners dont care about MPG or we wouldnt buy jeeps fix this already.
I just had this issue as well, didnt know it at first just got the auto start/ stop service light and took it in. They just automatically switch out my batteries and said they were dead, which they were fine before hand, and after that didnt fix it they said they got a code for the door lock...
Still an issue. like others said using the highest octane available is the best fix without the tune..the fact that Jeep is pretty much ignoring this as issue at this point is dumb. whats the long term effect on this down the road, gunna screw us out of warranty is what it is.
Thats Dealer BS. contact jeep cares your steering gear isnt modified. My dealer took care of it no questions asked on 3.5 in lift and 37s. hadnt changed any steering components at that time except for track bars
Anyone experience the new steering box already showing signs of wear? TSB was done beginning of Feb, sector shaft is flexing on the new box causing a dead spot again in the wheel. I am running 37's curious if these boxes just aren't going to hold up to bigger tires?
the JL version is axle mounted, i want it on the tie rod when i upgrade it but my steering components are stock. i ordered the fox clamp for the stock tie rod and the JL version to switch the clamp...But when I asked fox about it they said it does not fit and they do not know how to make it...
Yes i know that. Not the question at hand here... will the fox 2.0 TS stabilizer fit with stock tie rod and drag link if relocated to the tierod..prolly just going to get the synergy steering setup first since the stabilzers are on back order.
November...damn. you were able to get the JK version though?
really just trying to figure out if the TS works on the stock steering with it mounted on the tie rod..
Found a couple threads talking about ats I see most have upgraded steering, I just ordered the Fox 2.0 TS and see most get the JK version to relocate to the tie rod. Wanted to see if anyone has this relocated to the tie rod on the stock steering setup (tie rod, drag link, track bar) how is the...
My experience after all is said and done with the TSB for me is......its far better now than it was, No dead spot, No pulling to the right, No more fear of driving next to Semi trucks and getting pulled into them on the highway, how can this not be a recall with how unsafe the driving was before...
So finally got my Jeep back after the steering TSB and I must say it is night and day difference. Dealership had trouble with my draglink being stuck to the pitman arm and ripped the boot to the drag link...took 3 weeks to get that part, and still had to replace the pitman arm as well because...
I'd take it off. Took my jeep in last week for the tsb. the tech broke a tool trying to remove a bolt and ended up ripping the boot on the end of the draglink.. shit happens but if they break aftermarket parts i cant imagine the fun it would be to get it replaced.
Went to the dealer for a few things since i was there, had them inspect for wandering to the right. Dealer was great and got the process started no real time frame just about 30 jeeps waiting on the same part. @JeepCares anyway to speed up these order times on parts?
Put 87 octane back in yesterday after the TSB they did. (Which was acctually for the fan not engine noise.) Knock is back. Guess im running 91 until they figure this out
I just took my Jlur to the dealer. Dealer i choose was amazing as well. Got in line for the steering TSB without issue at all and told them about the engine noise, they found no noise (running 91 octane currently, i even drove with a tech and didnt hear it. Of course lol) i simple showed them...
I got my 18 JLUR back in may and started to hear this iusse and found this thread. tried the higher octane with little success it helped some but still was there, went back to 87 and it is much worse. Offroad on obstacles is terrible. Have you gotten this fixed through your dealer TSB?? Want to...
