You still may have dodged a bullet. They must have updated their service routine since our problem. As I indicated earlier they pulled the cab off and replaced the entire assembly. I can’t imagine how long we would to wait for parts today vs back in 2020. Can’t imagine our problem was due to...
Have a great time. So much to see out here. Be careful my friend, that looks like a lot of weight on your rigs back end and could cause front end steering/stability issues.
I bought a 2020 JLUD Rubicon with the extended factory warranty. I have only 33k miles on the diesel and have had at least 12-15k warranty work already. Issues too numerous to detail. I plan to dump this POS about 50 miles before the warranty ends. I will never buy another Jeep WITHOUT the...
We have a 2020 eco diesel rubicon. Battery was deader than a door nail about 10 months after purchase. This happened the morning we were going to head out on a trip. To make matters worse , we had to have the jeep towed to the dealer from our garage because you couldn’t jump it. No warning at...
Newbie diesel owner here. Waited and salivated for the JLUD to arrive and ordered one in early 2020. I have had so many issues that I joked with the dealer to order a backup bulb for the CEL.
1700 miles- humidity sensor warning.
7100 miles- turbo charger went out. Had to wait a month for parts...
20k miles with nothing BUT issues. Some humidity sensor problem at around 1700 miles. Turbo charger replaced at 7100 miles. Both batteries replaced at 15k. Rear differential replaced at 19k. New check engine light just today, something about the NOx sensors and DEF service required by dealer...
Well, I'm in the camp as a previous post. Lost our Turbo Charger at 7100 miles. Had to limp home from 350 miles away praying not to go into the REAL limp mode
Dealer had to pull the cabin disconnect winch and light bar. Had to take out our underseat ARB air compressor. Took forever to get the...
Well, I guess I'm on the unlucky list so far. Have been waiting 25 days for repair parts for the turbocharger that threw an engine code at 7100 miles. I really, really, really want to love this engine, but this is the 2nd check engine light with dealer replacement parts required in her short...
3rd party parts is one thing, getting OEM parts for warranty repairs are another. I have been waiting for warranty repair parts for jeep eco diesel for over a month now and it's getting a little old. Supply chain all messed up.
She goes in Tuesday for an estimated 3 day repair job. Won't get back until the end of the week. I'm going to make sure the service manager tells me exactly what failed after they get it apart. I wish I had an exploded parts list so I could understand how this turbo charger works and where...
I did go with the diesel. Major highway miles and towing an off road trailer. Two check engine lights later and a major replacement of the turbo charger and have really, really been questioning my decision.
Update: Just heard back from the dealer and this is MAJOR problem. Not only is the repair job extensive, it's a parts problem too. I may need to give the parts department a thumbs up effort for finding all the parts through various means as opposed to the complete Turbo Charger assembly...
Engine is stock, have added some accessories, winch, on board air compressor, and a couple of lights, but nothing to the engine. I did have first oil change about 1k miles ago. Understand there may be some engine air intake parts required to be temporarily removed to get to oil filter, but...
Darn I want to love this engine but now have second CEL. Code P00AF came up with directions to a possible Turbo Charger issue. Anyone else have this problem?
6500 miles since April purchase. At least half if not more of those miles hauling an off road trailer all over Colorado. Use more DEF than expected but an easy and cheap(Walmart) fix. I absolutely love this engine and the Rubicon package we got. Upgraded from a 2016 2door Rubicon and it's like...
Mileage has been very good overall. First 1K mile trip hauling trailer from AZ to CO with several high passes to get over, got just over 20 MPG. On another trip of 1.7k miles with maybe 60% towing, averaged around 23 MPG. Normal mixed travel still have been getting around 25 MPG so my...
