  1. Anyone towing with their Diesel?

The JT grill should help a lot. Keep us posted on the improvements,,,,, or not.
  2. Anyone towing with their Diesel?

Yes, sorry. The air temp was 97, not the coolant! Jeep ran under 200 coolant temp the whole trip.
  3. ALUMINUM bumpers ONLY. Let's see them!

I totally agree. It’s an exceptional bumper IMO.
  4. Anyone towing with their Diesel?

Im coming into this thread a bit late but my 2020 JLUR diesel has 12,500 on the clock now. I just returned from a 2500 mile trip to and from Death Valley towing a 1600 pound off grid trailer with RTT. The diesel towed like a charm. I’m running 35’s with stock gearing. I do have a front bumper/...
  5. My Diesel Mileage Sucks

I have a 2020 JLUR diesel. It currently has 12,500 on the clock. Just got back from a trip from Oregon to Death Valley, CA and back. 2200 miles. I was towing a 1500 pound low profile trailer with RTT. We averaged around 21mpg. I felt very happy with that. Around home we get 22-24 max. Still much...
  6. ALUMINUM bumpers ONLY. Let's see them!

One thing I forgot to say was they are dang expensive but lighter weight costs money.
  7. ALUMINUM bumpers ONLY. Let's see them!

Rock hard bumpers are awesome. From a 117 pound Smittybilt to a 36 pound Rock hard mid width was great. Getting that weight off the extreme front end made a world of difference. And it’s compatible with 12,000 pound winches so strength is not much of an issue against steel. I’m now looking for a...
  8. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Thank you !! That’s exactly what I am shopping for and they appear to be easy to modify as well. Now to get all the neighborhood kids over to take the spare off the mount- Ha!
  9. JL Rubicon on Method Wheels...let's see em!

Just got my Method 704’s installed. Titanium color nearly matches the GCM color but they are a no gloss.
  10. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Thanks for your input on this spare tire mounting issue. I will keep asking around and searching the net till I find a solution. Now its time to plan another Jeep trip!!
  11. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Copy that on the bump stops. If you know of an extended stop please pass it on. I am looking for just that. The 704’s don’t stick out nearly that far and I’m glad as I’m not a big fan of wheels that stick out too far and put undue pressure on the wheel bearings.
  12. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Ya know, I’m a bit confused with offset, etc. I do know that the Method 704 wheels have the same back spacing as the stock ones do but the Methods are a full inch wider wheel. You can see by comparing the stock Ruby wheels to the Methods via the end view that the Methods stick out beyond the...
  13. What did you name your Jeep JL?

    Ha! She’s a big 5’-1”!! But I love her like she’s 10’ tall!
  14. What did you name your Jeep JL?

Why, what else would I name my Jeep- I’m 5’-4” high, wear shorts and no shoes most of the time here in the Northwest..... “The Hobbit” or as my wife calls it... “The Habit”
  15. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

After 2 months on back order I finally was able to get my Method 704 “bead grip” titanium wheels installed at Discount Tire. Great price and great service. No bling, all business but they do have that military look to them. I also included an image of stock wheel vs 704 for comparison.
  16. ALUMINUM bumpers ONLY. Let's see them!

I just installed the Rockhard mid width front bumper. I have the rival back bumper as well and the two don’t seem to clash too much. Both are of good quality and easy to install
  17. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Today was productive in many ways. After the front bumper upgrade I finally installed the lights I wanted. Let me preface this by saying I’m a guy that focuses on things that get the job done, not on too much eye candy. Still waiting for my Method 704 titanium wheels but they will be too late...
  18. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Hi- mine was on order for 5 weeks. I told them I’m leaving for Death Valley the end of this week and they helped me out a bit with quicker shipping. I bugged them every week. Good guys and a great bumper, although expensive. But not as expensive as the AEV bumpers!! Love it.
  19. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

After adding the Metal Cloak DEF tank guard I received and installed the much anticipated Rock Hard 4X4 aluminum mid-width front winch bumper. At a weighed 37 pounds it was easy to pick up and great to install. My Smittybuilt 9500 winch was a tight fit but fit it did.
  20. Beadlocks

My 2 cents- I’m going for the Method 704 bead grip wheels. Not delivered and not tested yet but with my JLUR diesel I am weight conscious and believe I can get down to “the sweet spot in PSI” without the maintenance of beadlocks. All that being said- beadlocks look cool; can air down to near...
