  1. Smoother ride opinions?

If you intend on going off road... either snow or mud, dirt, and sand... buy a set of KO2s or the new KO3 tires... 38 psi... If mostly on the street, purchase a nice set of all season tires and spend the extra money. Second, replace the shocks with aftermarket something from Bilstein or Fox...
  2. 🤳AAWireless & Motorola MA1 (Wireless Android Auto Adapter Talk) 🤳

No..,, the actual company website. I hadn’t looked for it on Amazon
  3. Admit it.... how many of you love driving your JL on road with basically no intent to ever do any serious off roading

I think it should have been prefaced that you give a short description of your jeep and mods. I promise you that a standard 2022 Wrangler JLU and JT are actually great city and road cars... I have both. 1. either 21 or definitely 22 they changed the steering box that takes the wandering out of...
  4. Black vs Body Color Fender Flares

the Rubicons have a black plastic edge on the fenders that would help a bit in the woods... but you will still get nailed on your body anyway (I've also added the fender extensions from the 392 that you can see in the pictures... Personally I wouldn't have plastic fenders or top. Here are pics...
  5. Looking at trading my 4Runner for a Jeep (Fuel Economy?)

2020 JLU Rubicon stock wheels running KO2s (autostop inop) V6 auto 17.5-18 mix of Brooklyn, HWY 105miles each way to beach house every weekend or so.... Somehow my wife gets 19 when she drives. Dunno what she is doing that I am not... maybe she talks to it.
  6. Suspension upgrade with minimal to no lift ?

if you want some of the best handling shocks out there.. I have to think that Metalcloak should be at the top of your list. They key thing is that they are progressive...(basically two style springs in one). For $550 you can have a set.... just make sure that what ever shock you buy is sized...
  7. Best Way To Get Color Matched Fender Flares

    they come unpainted.
  8. Suspension upgrade with minimal to no lift ?

I'm loving them. I have persuaded 3 of my friends to buy the new 4xe wranglers.. and even with the extra suppose weight and stiffer shocks.. The Fox setup just kills it. If you are particular on how your jeep drives then it is the only way to go. Unfortunately you have to spend the big bucks...
  9. Suspension upgrade with minimal to no lift ?

sorry.. I didn't read all of the previous threads... people are talking about spring rates and so on... I am limited to the parking garage as to what I can do as far as a lift. On my previous JK, I had a full metalcloak 2"lift (that was for a 2 door car) Since my car was a JKU, the slightly...
  10. Suspension upgrade with minimal to no lift ?

Simple enough.. MetalCloak adjustable lower front control arms and Fox performance series 2.5 adjustable reservoir shocks...(about $3K for the shocks alone). the shocks will give you the ability to tune your ride to your preference for HWY driving, loaded carrying situations, and "wheeling"...
  11. How many miles before brake replacement?

I replaced mine at 35K (2020 Rubicon… NYC and 240 mile hwy weekend runs)… I could have gone further but prefer fresh feeling brakes.
  12. Spare Tire Delete options - recommendations?

Some times you gotta live a little on the “wild” side… I’d say go without it. The rattles drive me bonkers (I have the mopar performance bumper with a set of Jw speaker LED fog lights installed… unfortunately the internal brackets are aftermarket and rattle when you hit bumps because the secured...
  13. Spare Tire Delete options - recommendations?

I have to be quite honest....I've done everything that you can do to one of these without springs and taller tires as I am limited to the parking garage height. (In fact, with the soft top it hits the ceiling in one spot whereas the hardtop is a half inch lower and barely fits) to make the car...
  14. Spare Tire Delete options - recommendations?

wow... I almost feel like I'm over at the air-cooled section of the Porsche forums... geez. I'm glad all of you serious wheelers out there are carrying the spare tire torch for the rest of us losers.... well, I've never gotten a flat with over 100K of driving jeeps on and off road... I would...
  15. Who has 30K miles or more on their JL and hasn't had any problems?

2020 Rubicon.. 38K V6 Broken windshield (with weird circular crack that looked like it was installed improperly as no road damage caused it)... and steering box switched to steel.. subwoofer was blown from the factory (or installed improperly)... all warranty work
  16. Battery tender…which one?

XC400 Xtreme Charge 4 Amp 12V Battery Charger Desulfator (pulsetech.net) I have five of these (or the previous versions).. they have multiple stages and have even saved a toasted battery. Good stuff. As a side note.. I use to use battery tenders but have roached quite a few motorcycle...
  17. NRS brake pad comments…

At the same time I replaced the pads (Porterfield R4S) on my AMG E63s Wagon with EBC redstuff. I'm very impressed with the Reds.. much better bite than the outgoing porterfields and hopefully less noise and dust... but that's for another forum.
  18. NRS brake pad comments…

I just replaced my 2020 Rubicon Unlimited brake pads with a set of Galvanized NRS brake pads.. #NS1589 fronts #NS2186 rears (heavy duty larger rotors found on Rubicons and a few other models) they came with better than OEM looking clips and rub plates. These are fabulously made products. they...
  19. how many 3.6 engine failures

you are quite welcome. I think it's a pretty neat product and extremely well made and it gives me piece of mind.
