It is what it is. But my thing is, if you hate the company/union so much, why did you buy the product?
There will always be a Jeep in my driveway as long as they or I am alive.
This thread is quite disappointing. To some of you (and you know who you are, I'm not going to name drop): You go hop on that line. Build 600 Jeeps in 10 hours.
That's all.
Surprised y'all even bought one.
So your hangup is that you want to know why there's a hole in your block.
My question is: Why do you care?
Just let them follow the process and get the engine replaced. Life goes on.
Line guy here. The answer to this question is really simple. Only a very VERY slim minority wants builds like these.
I don't either. I understand, trust me, I do. But the majority just don't want a base model Jeep anymore. I had a rental about as base model as possible currently, during a...
Just watched it. Everyone else should watch it too. It's pretty accurate, minus that build sheet/window sticker drama that just isn't definite.
They've done this before, back in 2012/2013. It was discontinued. So they already have bones to improve upon.
🤣🤣🤣🤣I especially like 2:46-5:31. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't know. I work in Detroit. I know about the process and just a little bit about Toledo.
BTW: I see discussion of quality complaints. Sadly, mine shipped with some too. One of them I fixed myself, the other I'm too lazy to say anything about. I'll bug the dealership during the oil change...
Maybe on the 3.6L. The 2.0L is a piece of cake and shouldn't take anywhere near 3 hours. 1 hour of labor tops and it honestly shouldn't even take that long.
Well I have the whole Jeep now, but yes, that is exactly what happened. The build sheet didn't show up until HOURS later... and 2 days after the Jeep was built.
That's part of what I've been trying to explain. The same thing happened to me. I had a window sticker before a build sheet.
I can't explain it. I only know what goes on inside the actual assembly plants and a little bit of what goes on with the body vendor. (Ground Effects)
