  1. Low back bucket seats... what's that?

Should just be the standard seat. I've always known seats that end around the shoulders or lower as low back (headrest is optional) while high back bucket seats were the one-piece seats that have a built-in headrest.
  2. Any mod friendly dealers?

Sorry, haven't lived there in 10 years so no idea who is still flexible since the FCA switch
  3. Any mod friendly dealers?

Can't legally deny you, yes, but they'll bury you in court costs if you try to challenge them. They have an army of experts on staff who can make the appropriate connections and they don't have to prove that the modifications caused the failure, only that the modifications significantly...
  4. Winter Shocks.....suggestions?

You'll have issues no matter how you go. Fox 2.0s are aluminum body and will still get corrosion and the shafts are steel either way and will rust once you pit them with road debris. If you want something just for winter, I'd start collecting take-off Rubicon shocks for a cost-effective option...
  5. New Currie Rock Jock Front End Housing Johnny Joint Kit for JL/JT

Are these the first axle-side UCA option? I was wondering about these while shopping for lifts and didn't seem to find anyone else selling anything like this.
  6. Automatic Transmission Failure

It's a ZF 8-speed... probably the most prevalent transmission in existence right now and it's extremely well regarded in other applications. That includes everything from BMW and Audi to Aston Martin and Bentley to the Supra and Hellcat. I know these are FCA vehicles but if there's one thing...
  7. Bronco vs Jeep Wrangler mega thread

Squatch package is the only way to get the lockers I believe, and the Badlands comes with it by default. Which to me is a huge selling point because you can buy a completely basic version and still get 35s and lockers off the lot. Ford has always been awesome offering their off-road packages...
  8. Speedflate air up/down system is legit!

Yeah that's beyond me as well... I just have experience wrenching and setting up shop equipment with varying degrees of pressure and flow requirements so I know enough to be dangerous and know that you don't fuck around with things like this. 100PSI doesn't mean it will blow when you cross it...
  9. Speedflate air up/down system is legit!

I think the issue is that using CO2 at 100PSI mostly negates the entire purpose of using CO2 and the "normal use" scenario for Power Tank (at least on mine) is that it has the "tire" zone between 200 and 250PSI. So your expectation needs to be that someone is not going to read your instructions...
  10. Speedflate air up/down system is legit!

If you trust the customer to set up the regulators properly then yes, it will be fine, but you'll still be over 100psi if doing only 2 tires on a high-flow compressor or if doing higher pressure tires without something limiting input pressure. As I mentioned above, the customer cannot be...
  11. Speedflate air up/down system is legit!

Honestly all you need is a fixed regulator at the input or better hoses. You already are doing the fittings the right way IMO and some 300psi hoses or a 100psi regulator will put a stop to idiot factor because rule #1 is that the end user is always an idiot and will always find a way to break...
  12. Speedflate air up/down system is legit!

I highly suggest you lawyer up if you're going to keep this attitude because someone is going to use it with CO2 at full power or try to fill up their E Load tires on a Super Duty and have a really bad time. Someone building this system on their own and accepting the risks for their own use is...
  13. Speedflate air up/down system is legit!

Am I reading that wrong or does that say 100PSI working pressure on those hoses? I was going to say that looked like a good price but that's really cheaping out on components and dangerous for someone using CO2. Hell that's below the cutout for most switched compressors.
  14. Reaching my breaking point... may consider trading my JLUR

I'm in a JT now because I had issues with a Tacoma of all things. I figure if I'm going to suffer with issues that dealerships won't fix, I might as well do it in a truck that is more capable. Everyone is having issues somewhere, even the legends of reliability the industry like Toyota and Honda.
  15. Questions about Powertank

Just to throw it out there, you can just buy the regulators from PT and your own tank and it works out to be about the same price (or better if you can find a used bottle still in cert). The only downside is that swapping a 15# tank is just about nonexistent so you'll be forced to choose 10#...
  16. Powertank vs. On board compressor

The topic of discussion here... a PowerTank can do about 20psi in a 35" tire in about 45 seconds. If he's talking about a compressor he's either on small tires or full of it. Doesn't matter how many are being done at once, no compact compressor flows that kind of air.
  17. Powertank vs. On board compressor

Went wheeling a few weeks back and my friend did both his truck and mine with his PowerTank - both on 35s coming up from about 18 psi to 33. Another friend did his 33s and a similar PSI swing via an ARB twin and a 4-tire hose. The PowerTank was done with both trucks and away before the ARB...
  18. Opinion needed - Undercoating?

The problem is that salt only does so much and the volume of salt required to make any sort of significant difference below about 20F is astronomical (really, it falls off like a rock after about 28F). It makes some sort of sense in places that see infrequent snow/ice and dance just a bit below...
  19. Opinion needed - Undercoating?

If you do it, use a temporary one like Krown that has to be done each season. These are waxy/oily sprays that adhere to the exterior paint of the frame and don't allow any ingress as long as it's cleaned and coated completely. The problem with the rubberized and other "permanent" ones is that...
  20. Half doors false advertising -- IMO

The Porsche is a different beast because you have 7 standard gears which means two gates in the middle of the pattern. The Bronco won''t have that issue much like the Toyota and Jeep 6-speed patterns with "R" off to one side behind a detent or lockout. They released shots of the Bronco knob...
