  1. 2024 Willys the new base Rubicon?

The automatic sway bar disconnect is my favorite "Rubicon" option, the one I use the most, and the one I'd truly miss. That said, I can manually disconnect a sway bar a whole lot of times for $7K. I have a Rubicon, but it would be really hard to justify that much more of an expense today. My...
  2. Rear side impact question

I’ve read about these but haven’t looked into them. I put a slight lift on the rear because from the factory mine was really high in the nose. I ended up with stronger springs and a half inch spacer, and this is a 2 door.
  3. Rear side impact question

This is interesting, and it makes me think an ultra-strong track bar might not be a great idea. Sacrificing the track bar is a whole lot easier repair than anything else damaged along the way.
  4. Rear side impact question

Thanks for the heads up. I just took a good look at it, and fortunately it appears fine. I also looked over as many other mounting points as I could see and all look ok. I’m hoping the track bar sacrificed itself to save others!
  5. Rear side impact question

Update: I just tore into it and the rear track bar appears to have saved everything else. I would think if it bent the axle I'd see wobble on the brake rotor, but it seems to rotate pretty true. All in all he was pretty lucky and this could have been a lot worse. I will probably replace...
  6. Rear side impact question

I just got home and am going to look into it shortly. I can see it moved the axle right a little bit, so I’ll have to see what all is bent. More to come.
  7. Rear side impact question

My son was just driving my '21 JLR, it was snowing, and apparently slid sideways into something that primarily impacting the drivers rear wheel. It could have been a whole lot worse, but broke the rim, and left a scrape on the fender. Other than the obvious damage to the rim, what should I...
  8. Sirius Lost

Considering channel 0 and 1 use the same antenna path I’d have to think that’s all correct, and the problem is a Sirius configuration problem somewhere in their system.
  9. Protect your windshield against road hazards with Exoshield

What didn't you like about the fitment? Mine was cut exactly as I'd anticipate, so no complaints there. As far as reducing protection with each layer, yeah, I've thought the same thing too. As thin as each layer is I don't know how much of a difference it makes, but I'm sure it makes some...
  10. Protect your windshield against road hazards with Exoshield

Does anyone know if there is a difference between Racing Optics Windshield Defense, and Exoshield? I installed Racing Optics about two years ago and I'm pretty sure it's saved me a windshield. The upside of that system is that it's a 3-sheet tear off protective system. The downside is it has...
  11. ATTENTION: SCOTT or JOHN??

I have a Jeep, and I'm a Scott, but it appears we're a pretty rare combination according to the poll. Do I get bonus points for being a Scott with a 2 door! That has to be really rare.
  12. Finally a shovel mounting solution I really like

That's awesome you have all of that stuff, but even more awesome you have the training to use it. I just have some basic stuff in there because unfortunately I (as well as people around me) don't keep current with the training necessary to use stuff like heavy trauma gear, etc. Essentially I...
  13. Finally a shovel mounting solution I really like

That looks really sweet. Thanks for the recommendation!
  14. Finally a shovel mounting solution I really like

Thanks! The Tri-Fold isn't as handy as a shovel with a bigger handle, but exactly like you said, I figured it was better than not having one! I also struggled with finding a good quality version, and there are a ton of cheap crappy knock-offs everywhere. Since I have a 2-door, space was my #1...
  15. Finally a shovel mounting solution I really like

Here's what I did. Military Tri-Fold on the left mounted to the Molle panel on my tailgate table. It's always easy to get to and takes up minimal space in a 2 door. It also stays attached (out of the way) when the table folds down.
  16. Idaho 2021 JL Rubicon Rear Springs (2 door) - 9111AA

Great questions, and to give some background, I only have these two rear springs because most of the 2dr Wranglers I see sit low in the back, and it's made worse when you put any weight in it (my front sat noticeably higher than my rear from day one). Since I was happy with the overall height...
  17. Idaho 2021 JL Rubicon Rear Springs (2 door) - 9111AA

I'm in North Idaho, Coeur d'Alene area. As far as a price, I'd like these to go to good use somewhere because they're just laying in my garage right now taking up space. Is $50 for the pair plus shipping (if applicable) fair? if not, make me an offer.
  18. Idaho 2021 JL Rubicon Rear Springs (2 door) - 9111AA

These are factory springs off a '21 Wrangler Rubicon 2 door, Jeep part # 9111AA. This will give a factory Sport a little stronger spring with a little lift to haul more weight in the back, and are in like new condition. Any reasonable offer plus shipping gets them!
  19. Hit and run, no real visible damage

Check if it pushed in the back of the tailgate. My daughter got rear ended in her JK with a steel bumper and the bumper was fine but the spare tire was crooked because it bent the tailgate where the spare tire mount connected. The wheel and tire were fine, and the bumper wasn’t even changed...
