I'm thinking of looking at upgrading my 2019 JLUS from the 7" to the 8.4". Last time I looked at it I was thinking it needed to be the 68295728AJ number but now I'm thinking it should be the other one.
Have you tried another door?
Not too sure but my 2019 Sahara certainly did have what I needed other than to replace the handles, caps, and harnesses, and then finish it up with JScan.
Thoughts on an installation
I used Jscan to get it to work. I think Jscan is a great app for anyone with a JL.
I installed the tailgate parts and got it working quickly Wednesday night after work. Oddly enough hardest part for me was removing the original jumper on the door side. Just...
I just got my parts and they sent me the 68299333AF which is for a Wrangler with BSM for the front driver side harness instead of the 68325454AE which I ordered for mine as I don’t have BSM. Does anyone know if this will work?
I've seen that picture but it doesn't show which cable gets replaced. I have the parts coming in the next week, so hopefully it's pretty obvious when I have it all apart. Just funny about how much is out there for working on the doors, how to make your own cable, and the how to get the vehicle...
Any videos or pictures of the tailgate latch and jumper installation out there? I know most people say that it's probably the easiest part but I've never seen it done. I'm especially not sure where the jumper goes.
Hmm not sure. I know at night both are lit up with the DRL being less intense than during the day. I was messing around with it a bit last weekend and tested most of the different settings, and as I recall, that's what happened when I tried that out, but I ended up leaving the setting...
I have a Sahara with that has halogens as well. I had a buddy check before and I just double checked by myself now. It doesn't seem that there's anything going on in the main headlight for the drl. The drl on mine is the white light on the fender flare. That said I've done some more reading...
I thought that only applies to Canadian Wranglers with LED's that are replaced with Oculus lights. I know my headlights don't come on till either the Auto engages due to darkness or I manually put them on so I wouldn't think the 6V DRL issue wouldn't apply to a halogen replacement as the DRL...
So to be clear, If I had a Canadian Jeep with halogens I wouldn't have any issues with the DRL's if I ran them trough the fuse box, and I wouldn't have any issues with flickering?
Thanks
