  1. Bouncy ride and shaky steering wheel after lift and upgrade tires

Agreed. For me, it's not bump steer... it's steering wheel shake that isn't predictable, although it's usually around 50-55mph. This is similar to a video that [Banned Site] posted; I think they fixed it with a trackbar and also installed that Synergy steering/track bar bracket. It's not death...
  2. My Stock Sahara can do this, can Rubicons?

Here is another interesting inquiry... I think this is a Sport TJ, so it may not be a fair comparison.
  3. Bouncy ride and shaky steering wheel after lift and upgrade tires

Interesting to say the least; I think there's been a lot of money spent on aftermarket dampers if this simple fix works. I'm on 37's and AEV wheels and spacer lift. I get an intermittent steering shake and it's finally got a new steering gear and alignment in progress so we'll see what it's...
  4. AEV JL Wrangler Products & Builds [SEMA 2018 - JLWF Coverage]

Welcome. Agreed on the "mad max" remark. In any case, I can certainly respect AEV for not selling sub-par products as a lot of manufacturers do.... at the same time there's just a degree of impatience we have to swallow!
  5. AEV JL Wrangler Products & Builds [SEMA 2018 - JLWF Coverage]

I had a TJ Rubicon setup by AEV and have always like AEV stuff. I spoke to some guys at AEV few months ago about several things and did ask about the JL bumpers; the response was to expect the rear bumper to be ready and/or released first, but the issue with the front bumper was the crash test...
  6. Largest tires I can put on my stock Rubicon wheels?

Which lift are you running ?
  7. Largest tires I can put on my stock Rubicon wheels?

All -- what are your experiences with airing down 35's+ on stock Rubicon rims? Any issues with holding a bead? How low of pressure have you run? I used to run <10psi on my TJ with AEV wheels for 1,000's of miles without issue and am just curious if the 7.5" wide rims hold a bead and what...
  8. Unable to order a manual transmission

Likewise Likewise; I'm in the same boat. Actually have money on a 6spd JLUR sitting on the lot. The 8-sp auto works well, but I still want a manual.
  9. Unable to order a manual transmission

Here's the recall detail from FCA
