Did the test, couple hundred miles and no difference between on or off with the brake assist. Only thing that could be slightly different is maybe some brake drag with the brake assist on compared to off, no difference in the clutch at all
Just did 400 + miles yesterday to Sequoia and back and will try this hill assist off thing. I openly omit to stalling this Jeep multiple times and never had a good feel with this clutch yet.
Side note, really happy I put the metal bumper on recently, hit Bambi on the way down the hill jumped...
I can see adding the winch later being a challenge, wanted to get it on for road trip and winch wont be coming along for a while. I didnt want to rush and get a cheap winch to just get one in, so saving up and when it is time to get the right one, will probably pull bumper back down and install...
Just under 2K miles on my Rubicon. The clutch is far different feel than my 1970 Dodge 4 speed, and I omit to stalling the jeep a few times trying to adjust to it. My order was delayed to the recall but not sure it came out of the factory "fixed" or not. I guess I will find out in my first...
Did you choose aluminum based on the weight difference or another preference? My first thought is the steel would be stronger and they appear to be a couple hundred cheaper? New to Jeep life so any feedback would be great help.
Thanks.,
Henry
