  2. Is the JL the worst Jeep ever?

Sounds like you got a good one. Not bashing the bronco, but hell hasnt froze over yet. Not a bronco fan. Jeep is where it’s at IMO for a real off road machine. I’m sure others are good, and as much trouble as I’m having…I’m gonna stick with the jlu for now. I’ve got an extended warranty...
  3. Is the JL the worst Jeep ever?

I change my oil and filter every 3-4k miles. The engine started the dreaded ticking sound around 8-10k miles. Around 35k had one cam and associated rockers and lifters replaced. Around the 50k mile marker the engine went from ticking to knocking which landed it back in the shop in which all 4...
  4. Is the JL the worst Jeep ever?

My 2020 wrangler rubicon with the famous 3.6 engine has been gutted 2 times for cams rockers and lifters. Last week I noticed a rear axle seal leak now it looks like I have a damn tranny fluid leak from the 8 spd auto. Right where the trans bell housing bolts to the engine. I’m thinking a...
  5. Push button 4WD for the Wrangler

Leave the damn 4wd lever alone. Don’t tie anymore electronics to the Jeep than necessary. Like was stated earlier….it’s a jeep. The most capable off-road vehicle ever built. leave well enough alone.
  6. 3.6 Engine Rattle Determined

Damn right. needless to say I’m not pleased with the 3.6. I know there are the 3.6 lovers and the 3.6 haters. I’ve done a lot of research and the majority of the valve train issues point to rocker design. jeeps been in the shop for a while, been waiting on parts…..that’s another issue...
  7. 3.6 Engine Rattle Determined

My 2020 rubicon has 52k miles on it. In the shop for the second time for valve train issues…you know the dreaded tick. This time all 4 cams, 24 rockers and 24 lifters are being replaced. Thank god it’s still under warranty
  8. Synergy MFG 2" Lift Starter System

It seems that all Jeep lifts are engineered around a fully loaded rubicon to keep it level. I’m not gonna load the back up with weight just to make it level with the front. If I’m over thinking this somebody please set my old ass straight. I don’t mind paying for a good complete 2-2.5 in...
  9. Synergy MFG 2" Lift Starter System

It all points to putting whatever lift I want and end up with a small front spacer to level it out.
  10. Synergy MFG 2" Lift Starter System

Called MC and asked about the 2 door lift on a 4 door. He agreed about the lift would end up around 1.5. But said their lifts are engineered for some neg front rake and there would be some geometry issues using the 2 dr lift in a 4 dr. Which puts me back to where I was at. Still trying...
  11. Synergy MFG 2" Lift Starter System

trying to keep the lift as short as possible and synergy is the only place ive found at this time that offers a 1" lift spring. Im putting a ARB bondi full width bumper and a warn 10k winch on the nose of my jeep. Figured two diff size springs would make keeping the jeep level pretty easy.
  12. Synergy MFG 2" Lift Starter System

Hey Brett, whats your thoughts on running the synergy 1" spring on the back and the 2" on the front to compensate for a heavy bumper and winch on a 2020 jlu rubicon.
  13. Reaching my breaking point... may consider trading my JLUR

I know its a pita, but I do agree with a previous reply to your problem. retorque every damn nut and bolt on the front end if you havent done that yet. Check ball joints and bushings on the control arms as well. Good luck
  14. Reaching my breaking point... may consider trading my JLUR

Have you installed the synergy sector shaft brace?
  15. Does anybody have any regrets for NOT getting a Diesel?

PM the gas burner, oil change and air filter. Forget the diesel...Just my thoughts
  16. Lifting just the front of a JLU rubicon

Im a bout to install an ARB full bondi bumper and a warn zeon 10s winch on my 2020 jlu rubi. My plans are to install a pair of synergy 1" lift springs up front to handle the sag, and a set of fox shocks to help the ride. Later i will install the lower arms and track bar. Have done a lot of...
  17. 2020 jl breakin oil change maintenance

The engine runs through a break in period before its put in the jeep. The oil is changed to synthetic after they drain the break in oil out of the crankcase. With that being said, I always do the first oil change around 500 miles, then 1500 miles, then follow the recommended schedule. ALWAYS...
