  1. 2.0 turbo vs Pentastar V6

I bet 99% of Wranglers do not go off road so not sure the offroad angle matters one way or another. I might be so bold as to say the mall crawlers the superior offraoding crowd loves to bash ad nauseam would prefer the on road benefits of the e torque. I know I do when I roast Shelby Mustangs...
  2. 2.0 turbo vs Pentastar V6

Wonder why no e-torque in Canada? Is this coming here next?
  3. 2.0 turbo vs Pentastar V6

5 year powertrain warranty, practically the whole E torque system gets captured in the 7 or 8 year federal emissions warranty. In that long of a time I will worry about something else getting me first.
  4. 2020 Jeep Wrangler High Altitude Edition Announced

It works for the Porsche 911 which there are like 78 different versions some of which amount to a colored shift boot and a $10,000 premium. Wrangler, the new 911!
  5. The Jeep Gladiator is Struggling

I bought my JL a couple days ago and was casually discussing with salesman about this. He said customers are cross shopping against RAM and he can get them in more truck for the same money. He said Gladiator was a niche buy for a Jeep lover but a pure truck buyer struggled to find value. Of...
  6. Intermittent issues with Uconnect 8.4

I had an interesting one today. Asked if I wanted to adjust my clock settings. I pressed no, then the screen no longer responded to anything and was stuck on climate. Only function that worked was turning it A/C but when turned off went back to non responsive climate screen. After a couple...
  7. 2020 Jeep Wrangler High Altitude Edition Announced

Bright side is we always have an internet forum to argue and divide us over a special edition Wrangler :)
  8. 2.0 turbo vs Pentastar V6

If you're buying new it's a long powertrain warranty, and the federal emissions warranty grabs most of the etorque system and sends it out to 7 or 8 years!
  9. 2020 Jeep Wrangler High Altitude Edition Announced

Short term cash grab is business these days everywhere, I am not naive enough to think FCA would be any different. Long term cars and trucks just aren't viewed the same by the younger set and whatever it takes to stay relevant in this short term society is what any business will do. If 20"...
  10. 2020 Jeep Wrangler High Altitude Edition Announced

WIth the way prices are on JL's they need to offer higher end finishes. Most will never go offroad and I suspect these will be well received and may even grab the eye of a G wagon or Land Rover type buyer. Good or bad, I have no opinion but likely smart business.
  11. Northern IL Jeep Clubs?

I don't think there are any really. Lack of places to offraod may have something to do with it. I used to meet up with a few people to have a picnic type gathering but nothing hardcore. That was by beaches downtown though. Start a meetup and see if anyone comes. Though it would have to be...
  12. I used to love winter....

Amen, middle age has made me soft and I want out! San Diego would be ideal but well, $$$$$
