Ahh so good seeing your Nacho in the flesh! Me, you and @Aidentg_05 have to get together sometime for a little photoshoot! Canāt believe we all live so close!
I get it. I have the OEM steel bumper too, but it was damaged when someone rear-ended me, so I decided to go aftermarket. If not for that, I wouldāve kept the OEM one and wouldnāt have to worry about any of this.
Yep, I already have the teraflex camera and brake light relocation (that came with the Alpha HD tire carrier) and Iāve read that some people just attached that to the CavFab carrier. For that you just have to disconnect the brake light for removal, which isnāt bad. The CavFab one seems much more...
@CavFab_mfg and for those of you who have the brake light/camera/license plate relocationā how hard is it to disconnect everything when it comes time to take off the spare tire? Iāve heard itās a pain to do and I know there are more convenient options out thereā¦ I have the carrier which came...
Is this the LOD one youāre talking about? It looks different than whatās on yours so I want to be sure before ordering. Also, was it easily compatible with the CavFab mount or did it require modifications of some sort?
Answering my own question after asking someone who has this bumper installed. The piece I was questioning slides inside the frame on the passenger side, and is not needed on the driver side, as the driver side has threads in those holes.
Thanks so much for the advice. I planned on doing that in advance, but wondered if itād be a waste of time. Your comment confirms that it wonāt be a waste of time after all!
@CavFab_mfg i just received my bumper this week. I noticed there are some bolts holding a plate on on the backside of the bumper on the passenger side. These were not included on the driver side of the bumper. Were they supposed to be on both sides?
I get it! Definitely try to check one out in person before pulling the trigger. But really, you canāt go wrong either way.
I was sort of on the fence when I first saw the new grille. I liked it, then tried to dislike it (since everyone else did), then I grew to love it. Itās a nice updated...
It ended up being too much black for me, to the point where the whole grille/slots blended in too much. I like the contrast of the different colors to break it up a little. You canāt go wrong either wayā¦ the ā24 grille is SHARP and it looks even better in person.
Thatās actually the grille I originally wanted! Although Iāve never seen it in person, based on all the photos Iāve seen, the trim does look matte black, so I agree with what DA said.
Yep! Btw the dark gray is the way they come from factory. So on mine, the only parts I had painted Bikini Pearl were the panel and surround. All other parts I left the way they come from factory (trim, mesh, and chin).
Just came to say this is NOT the OPās Jeep, so any questions you have need not be directed to him (profile says āChrisā).
This is a photo of MY Jeep. The OP stole MY photo ā complete with the wording and all ā that I posted on FB. Hereās MY original post on FB. ššš
