  3. California Excessive Industries Tire Carrier

Used Excessive Industries Tire Carrier $500 obo. I ran this carrier for about a year and loved it. The only reason I'm selling is I'm going to the Nitto 42" and it wont fit. It will accommodate up to a 40" tire with minor trimming, up to a 37" without trimming. It has the bracket for a 8" x...

  8. Smittybilt JL HD Pivot Tire Carrier (7743) - Install / Review / Comments

I am generally not a fan of smittybilt, but this looks like it is built very well. Looks clean too. What size tire are you mounting?
  9. Upgrading to 40's what gear ratio?

5.13s are working great for me with 40” coopers with XD60s
  10. Does my Jeep sit level... how to measure, and how to correct?

I would put level on the rock rail or the top of the hardtop. If it’s low in rear you can just ad a coil spacer. Keep in mind if you take the top off it will raise the rear a bit too.
  11. Is a 2.5 shock body the biggest you can go?

Front: 18.34, 30.51 Rear: 19.43, 32.30 Here are some pics from the shop that built my jeep (Because Stock Sucks in Oakhurst, Ca)
  12. Is a 2.5 shock body the biggest you can go?

I am running the Fox 2.5 4"-6" shocks front and rear. There are a couple issues to be aware of. On full droop, if you are using the full 12" of travel the shock body will hit the frame. This can be fixed by moving the bottom shock mount out 1-2". I used the Metalcloak bracket to do this. I...
  13. Has Anyone Installed Metal Cloak 2.5 Lift With Alternative Shocks.

They are serviceable, but I have never had to do it. I ran the Fox 2.5s on my JK for 2-3 years after the rocksports without any issues as well. The version on my JL has the DSC adjusters
  14. Advice? Lift + Tires on 2019 JL Moab

Going from a 35" to a 37" tire, by itself, should not affect ride quality. Lifting the jeep another inch though may affect it a bit. Slightly steeper control arm angle and possible reduced caster if you don't use adjustable control arms. For the most part the difference in a 2.5" vs a 3.5" is...
  15. Has Anyone Installed Metal Cloak 2.5 Lift With Alternative Shocks.

I am running the Metalcloak 3.5" with Fox 2.5s and it works really well. I have also run the rocksports on my JK for awhile and they actually perform great for the price. They just look cheap.
  16. Is the fabfour grumper worthy?

Not sure if this matters to you, but that would likely kill the resale value of your jeep. As you can tell, most people don't care for it. To each his own though.....
  17. 72" Width Axle Fusion axle with low BS wheels?

It’s a Dynatrac XD 60. It looks bigger in person, lol
  18. 72" Width Axle Fusion axle with low BS wheels?

This is a 72.5" wide axle with a Method 4.75" backspaced wheel. 3.5" backspacing would be really wide and you would lose the advantage of the lower scrub radius that the wide axle gives you.
