  1. S.A.D. Roof Rack with ladder (pics) and questions about fitting

Technically yes although its not so easy... UK owner I saw who had one had drilled additional holes in the rack so he could mount the top basket a bit further back... still allowed for the rear door to open the glass fully but made a bit more room at the front and easier to take the top off...
  2. S.A.D. Roof Rack with ladder (pics) and questions about fitting

I'd say you got the wrong ladders with the part and its maybe the JK version. I never got one in the end but a guy on the Jeep UK owners club has it and the fit is level all along and closer like the one at the front
  3. Question about factory leather heated seats (not how to turn off auto start :-) )

cool I hope so. I did have a look in the ap and can see (under "adaption") the option fo activate HSM (which I hope means heated seat module)
  4. Question about factory leather heated seats (not how to turn off auto start :-) )

you think JScan will allow the heated seats option? I thought it would need the sales code adding for the package to show it was acquired..? yeah I'm worried about the steering wheel... I know the steering wheel option is in the same place on the uconnect as the seats, if there is no heated...
  5. Question about factory leather heated seats (not how to turn off auto start :-) )

Ok so I swapped the front seats out this evening (rears tomorrow) and weight sensors and airbags seem to have been accepted no worries as you said. very happy there in my plush new leather seats!! Did a bit of research on parts that are related to headed winter pack and so far found the...
  6. Question about factory leather heated seats (not how to turn off auto start :-) )

Thanks for the confirmation, great to know, I'm just about to start the swap. When done if I'm able to find out more about the heated seats I'll post here and keep an eye out for your progress if you have any.
  7. Question about factory leather heated seats (not how to turn off auto start :-) )

Hi, Thanks for the info!, I dont have heated seats currently. I guess I'm not worried about heated seats and really have purchased the interior for leather (current are cloth). If I can make them work with coding and a module then great but if its complex or costly I'll just not use the heater...
  8. Question about factory leather heated seats (not how to turn off auto start :-) )

Hey everyone, I've been searching the forum for the answer but cant find it (only find tons of questions about turning the "Auto heat" option or fitting aftermarket heaters).. Basically I have a 2019 UK spec Sahara (which comes with Cloth seats, colour coded hard top and wings (fenders), 18"...
  9. S.A.D. Roof Rack with ladder (pics) and questions about fitting

The side ladder is part of the support of the rear so it cant be left off technically however the guy on the UK owners club who got one asked the supplier and they sent out an additional gutter rack so he no longer uses the ladders... I've since found this roof rack is a direct copy of the...
  10. S.A.D. Roof Rack with ladder (pics) and questions about fitting

Since writing this original post a guy on another group here in the uk got one, seems like he had no issues with fit, he did drill some holes so it could be mounted further back and make the front panels easier to move plus he said that when it was fully loaded and he was stood on it the ladder...
  11. Racechip piggyback tuner for 2.0 JL

Yep I'm in the UK, sorry, I should have mentioned that in my post, I'd completely forgotten its measured differently over there (I used to live in Austin TX for a time by the way, loved the place). Here we have unleaded, super unleaded and premium... this would translate when measured in R+M/2...
  12. Racechip piggyback tuner for 2.0 JL

I'll be keen to see the results of this! what octane level fuel do you plan to run? I started running 97 and then alternating it with 95 each tank but find I get about 50 more miles out of a tank (same route and roads) when using 97... I just switched to 98 now to see if there is a difference as...
  13. S.A.D. Roof Rack with ladder (pics) and questions about fitting

I havent had my JL long so I'm still choosing the parts I want however roof racks have always been a problem I didnt know how to solve as I dont want to drill or cut my roof, would love a Gobi rack but the cost to the UK for racks is fairly obscene if not supplied from a UK supplier (and even...
  14. Recommendation for a spare fuse set

Hey, I cant say any useful links as I'm in the UK so probably better to search yourself however I recently lost a 30amp fuse when sorting the USB carplay issue (and I pushed in 47 fuses that were not seated properly!!) ... anyway if you use the string below I think you should find the fuse your...
  15. JL Overland Alarm Goes off on it's own

+1 for this issue on UK JL Sahara, no wind, no folded seats and nothing in the car, fires up the alarm around 1 minute from locking the doors randomly.
  16. Racechip piggyback tuner for 2.0 JL

I've been reading up on that too, their website states the CANbus is not active yet subject to a future firmware update, did you go with the APP control or cable mode? I assume its easy to remove quickly?
  17. Terrible 2.0 gas mileage?

So far I'm very happy with my MPG, I'm hitting around 26-28 now combined and 400-450 miles a tank. Head winds and hills kill it the most it seems or aggressive acceleration as expected. I run a mix of 95, 97 or 98 octane fuel each fill and find I get a chunk more miles out of the higher octane...
  18. Racechip piggyback tuner for 2.0 JL

Hi, how are you getting on with the Racechip? I've had many turbo petrol cars in the past and found tuning was very dependant on petrol octane levels (since higher octane means cleaner burn and reduced chance of detonation/ knock so allows for higher boost and timing advances). I've found the...
  19. WTB Rhino Rack roof rack for rain gutters Colorado

I think the Rhino Rack gutter mount cross bars for the JL is called the SG59 https://www.rackoutfitters.com/rhino-rack-sg59-vortex-sg-black-roof-rack-crossbars-for-2018-jeep-wrangler-jl-4dr/ From my research and limited understanding the JL has rain gutters that are narrow at the front (on the...
  20. DIY: Add USB Port into Upper Dash Tray

Good write up! I've been wanting to do something like this as was originally considering Qi wireless charging to the mount but I want car play so need to extend one of the factory USB's although I might go this route for a Qi power connector for the passenger
