Have to temporarily drive with out sway bars because the bracket is Bent and have to figure out a way to bend it back.
Anyways I have noticed that I don't get as much wheel shimmy with them off, I noticed a bit before having the bracket Bent. I think I might get adjustable sway bar links.
So...
As you'll know going offroad and losing chunks of tread and rim damage is almost unavoidable. Would I benefit from the beads, or are they just a waste of money?
I got some bad play with my steering also, would this be covered under warranty? Even though I installed new track bars, LCA, and sway bars? I got a 19 jlu Sport. Also up in Canada. If not covered by warranty would it be something I could do on my own?
I have steel front and rear bumpers, a 12k synthetic line winch, also looking at getting some undercarriage armor in the future.
If I go with the 3 inch lift, would I have to worry about the drive shafts with the added weight of the bumpers and winch and potential armor.
Our be better to go...
I got the metra dash kit, idatalink wire harness, idatalink re module, metra antanna adapter, xm adapter. There is a module you need for the back up camera, i would go with the kwm750bt as there are USBs in the back for the stock ports.
I also did it myself, just take your time and make sure...
Lots on the electronics sub forum. However I have the JVC kwm650 by head unit. Nice being able to connect to aftermarket amp with RCA cables. What's your budget? Probably look to budget 600 to 700 for the new head unit.
The aspect ratio on a tire is suppose to be the percentage in hight, so 275\70r18 is 275 wide and the height from rim of the tire to the outside surface is 70% of the width of the tire. 275\70 would be about 192 and the 285\65 is About 185. From what I know not all tire sizes are the same from...
I got at3w 275\70r18 and previous had 255\65r18. They fit wonderful, I also got a2.5 spacer lift, from what I can tell no rubbing. Might consider going with the 275\70 over the 285\65 for more side wall, just a thought.
Also my mileage went up a mpg maybe not quite. Also just a fyi be prepared...
Well I'm getting more comfortable with offroading, led a small group over the weekend and realize that a GPS would be a very nice device to have. Recommendations very welcomed.
I got the RC 2.5 spacer lift, I have taken the jeep out on the trails and seem to held up pretty good, I got it for the same reasons as you, a new steel bumper + winch and the front end sagged, now in saying that I quickly discouvered I need an adjustable track bar and some adjustable LCA which...
Id highly recommend to swap out the head unit, most head units have pre outs (rca's) which would give you a clean line to the amp/s, and don't have to mess around with line out converters, if you do use one the jl needs resistors to interrupt speaker line to trick the system into sending out the...
getting new at3w tires installed in the next couple days was running stock dueler ht, I was rotating them every oil change. should I do a rotation more frequently?
Ive added a new head unit and installed a mono amp with a sub. I use the JVC kwm600 if I remember correctly. The back of the unit has preouts for the amps. I just used a RCA cable
Eventually I like to add a 4 channel amp and new speakers at 6.5 inches.
Nice thing about the Wrangler over my 17...
You modify one thing expect to modify other things at the same time.
Got a new jlu Sport s, installed a steel bumper and added a winch, well the front end is sagging, well gotta lift it up, well now your front end needs adjusting time for some adjustable track bar and LCA.
However in saying...
