The sticker was correct. Agreed. I don’t agree my installer was wrong. So I and do not trust the vin. The installer has been doing this for 17 yrs. I’m and one of just 4 JLs he encountered with this problem. If you guys are saying that he cannot read the vin. You are also saying he’s...
I previously stated that there was a can where he was supposed to get a 44 according to the sticker but actually has a 35. But people still wanna trust the sticker. I don’t think I’ll give it a try....
i guess I got to dumb it down for comments like this. The point is the vin can’t be trusted. Mechanics and vendors don’t ask for window stickers. They ask for vins.
Just to give an update. I matched it up with the window sticker and unfortunately it is the 35s. I got them regeared and it feels awesome. BUT! The installer said my JL was the 4th one like this! He also mentioned there was one jl that had 35s but the sticker says it should have had 44s...
I learned recently about that anti-slip dana 44. I don't have the sticker with me but i will check when i pick up the rig. If i do have that, and i have in fact a 35, idk if Jeep will fix that. Im past my warantee
So I brought my Sport S in for re-gear and the installer wanted to confirm which Dana I have. The VIN says I have a 44 and the Casing even looks like a 44. But when he crack it open, it was a damn 35! Anyone else come across this??
