Am I the only one who noticed these 2 sentences???
... and then
So, OP, did you plow a bunch of beers as soon as you got home (and are drunk) or were there some "road pops" in this equation? 🤣
So, I've read elsewhere that the Dana axles on the 392 are different (thicker) than the "base" Rubicon. Looking at my JLUR build sheet and this one, they have the same M210 and M220 designation... How do you know which axles you "really" have? (not you specifically, AlleyCat392, but anyone)
I have the same issue with mine. I think it's just the nature of a ball-mount + friction. Once it moves a little (like, before I tightened the 💩 out of it) I think it creates a groove in the ball that just continues to get bigger/looser as time goes on... Mine only moves a cm or two, does...
You're the first person I've heard mention the stumble in 3rd (not that I've been looking hard). I thought I was the only one. I assumed mine was something related to burning the clutch when towing someone out of a ditch long ago... the smell lasted for DAYS. So, the stumble is not unique to...
Funny story related to the window switches. I came home from my 12yo son's hockey practice and parked at the top of my driveway, which is almost flat at the top and a 9% grade for the rest... and curved. I stopped and put it in neutral with my foot on the brake to roll up the windows because I...
Oh, and for reference: I ran (2) 8-gauge wires through this hole with plenty of room to spare. Was able to use the factory-installed grommet as well (although soapy water made that easier)
Hey everyone! I just posted this on another thread as well. There is a way to get through the firewall on the driver's side with a MT:

Hey guys, I just posted on another thread with a way to get through the firewall with a manual transmission. It's very similar to the brake booster location but I can assure everyone it's not in use: I have an MT Rubi...
Hey, all
I was recently trying to run power from the battery to the rear cargo area and came across another firewall access hole for the Manual Transmission folks. It's on the driver's side beside the brake booster but NOT the hole used by the clutch. Circled in red in the first pic with the...
Well, if it's fixed I would say that's awesome! ... and, honestly, if it saved them from unbolting the windshield, applying more butyl and replacing the whole thing that might actually be better. If you know "what" he did to the seal (other than the RTV around the plugs) it would be great to...
The one you posted is a pretty common one for sure. Glad to see an official acknowledgement from FCA. My wind noise was not coming from the windshield, but from the rearview mirror attachment to the door, but it took a LOT of effort to find it because I (and the techs) would swear it was the...
I also think it's funny that the service tech wrote "cow" (instead of cowl) on the diagnosis form multiple times. 🤣 If there is a cow near the windshield, no wonder we all have leaks!
That's positive news so far, Greg! Now, hopefully sean.lunch has the same outcome for the passenger side (sounds very likely he will) and we can put this to bed! It also looks like you got a slightly newer version of this part, the last one I saw was "-AB" and you got "-AC." I wonder if there...
I would agree if you aim a power washer just right you could get water into any vehicle most likely. I've had 3 JL/JK's and never had any of them leak from a car wash or even when I wash it myself with a power washer, and I purposely aim for the door seams in order to get all the soap out. It's...
Good thought, although mine for sure is door seal related. Only happens when it rains and I can see water coming down the A pillar. (See my first post with pics). But, all ideas are welcomed!
Most of the gaskets and seals use butyl (i.e. MOPAR 68027813AA). Some don't use any at all and are held on with pins (like the part of this seal you can see on the B-Pillar). My guess is there is a combination of both for this one since it spans the entire length of the windshield and (I...
