You just shredded the last bit of my self esteem. I never worked on street cars (and I never will) and have marginal respect for the smoke and mirrors aspect of "tuners". My experience with e85
was a n/a single cylinder race engine we were asked to optimize for e85 for fuel mileage. We...
Please learn something about the hard parts and any alcohol before advising on engine tunning. Very few street car injectors can flow the 100% increase necessary to make more hp than gas.
Yours is the best on the market.
Have you measured the actual temp decrease underhood, increase in post air filter air pressure and decrease in air temp before the turbo?
When will you have a carbon hood on the market?
Short answer: Alternate if you are $$ conscious. Long answer: Ethanol dose not mix consistently with gasoline. Using straight gas will even out the sometimes-high concentration of ethanol. Expect 10% better mpg with straight gas.
Qualifing engines, at that hp level, lasted 4 laps and then were thrown away. They raced the 200 miles at about 1000 hp and then they threw everything away.
Monument Ridge BoH Trail . Easy due to Forest service improvements and the view is spectacular. Try to find the white buffalo ranch just south of the trail start.
We just did it. Great trail, great trip. Water hole then left turn uphill had me pukered to the max , but, the Jeep was perfect. Thank you all for the tips and comments.
Thank you. I already have good information on trips to bear country. What I am curious about is the two legged kind of problem. Yes I always carry. I would rather have an idea of what to watch for to avoid problems. And, no, I don't leave well traveled trails in California or Oregon.
I swapped the PCM (just to be 100% sure) . I was told that I didn't need to. The new steering gear works great. The Flashpaq is great, I had no idea it would be such an improvement to an already fun vehicle.
Yes. It works great. I took it off for the steering box change, but, I've been told it wouldn't have been a problem if I set it back to stock on the exchange ECU.
